Holy Sheep-shit! Hubie looks like he’s already been EMBALMED! Close the friggin’ casket!
Oladipo and and Otto Porter have turned into nice players.
So, what possessed Grant to take Anthony Bennett?
The 2013 draft was supposed to be awful but now it looks pretty good. Oladipo, McCollum, Giannis, Adams, Porter, Gobert, Schroeder. That's one all-NBA player, two of the best big men in the league, and three guys who look like all-star caliber players even if Porter and McCollum haven't been picked yet.
The 2014 draft was supposed to be historically great but now looks kind of meh. A lot of pretty good starters but the only all-NBA caliber player is Embiid and then it's hard to figure out who the all-stars would be (Wiggins? Clint Capela? Will Jabari Parker ever come back to be good? Will Zach Lavine or Aaron Gordon break out?).
And in both drafts you have a lot of busts in the top ten and many of the best players aren't picked till 11-20. In fact overall you could argue the picks after 10 are better than the top 10 picks in those two drafts.
Kind of a lesson in how you can't judge the quality of a draft class until years later, and how hard it is to make good picks in the moment. And also a lesson for those who think our pick this year is automatically going to deliver an eventual all-star.
Also gives us some hope we might get a good player even if not top 3.
have to show a skill at scouting we've never shown before though.
I don't think the modern Cavs have ever hit a home run with a non-#1 pick, unless you count Cedi, and it's way too early to call him that. Maybe he's a single or a double.

Absolving ourselves of the remaining 2 years of TT's deal is becoming a priority. As much as I want to draft a stud to fit with the timeline of our other young guys, we need to get TT's cap-destroying contract off this team. If we do that while getting a star to contribute, I think you have to take that route.I still think ther eis a high likliehood the pick gets traded with JR or TT to get a star player. If not I think the Cavs are targeting the right players according to Inboobiewetrust
You forgot to include Wade.Since being traded:
- Jae Crowder is 27/72 from the field shooting a scorching 37.5%.
- Isiaiah (spelling? who gives a fuck) Thomas is 24/61 from the field shooting a slightly more scorching 39.3%.
- Derrick Rose is getting up shots at Cleveland State University. Apparently he is taking his talents to the intramural league.
- Iman Shumpert is starting fights with children for questioning why he has yet to log a minute on the court via Instagram.
