I just don't buy this "Wants to be the man" or "Wants more shots" bullshit, if that's the case why would he say he wants to play for the Spurs or Wolves? Pop won't allow selfishness and Wolves would have 3 stars, hardly the place for Kyrie to be the main man.
Agreed, I think Kyrie has crazy value and is underrated around here, dude averages 30 in the freaking finals against the best defense in the NBA! while shooting with crazy efficiency.
Tell me about another PG in the NBA that can average 30 against the Warriors while being 47/42/90, Yes he plays no defense and hes not a passer or a leader, but that crazy scoring is unheard of, if we only had a real coach that actually taught defense and some good defenders and one rim protector on the roster Kyrie and LeBron would've taken down the Durant Warriors by themselves.
I'm Curious, what do you think is the top end offer we could get for Kyrie, like best case scenario but also realistic, do you think we could some how land a AD level player if we involve other teams and send some more pieces? I know its a long shot but crazy trades happened before in the NBA, and I definitely think Kyrie is easily worth a top 10-20 player in return, dude is only 25 and already an offensive superstar.
For part one, we agree Kyrie is already getting as many shots and opportunities in the offense as he would want. This is a business push, most likely coming from the people around him. The Cavs are LeBron's team in the eyes of the media. I'm sure Kyrie wants to be in more commercials, wants to be on All NBA teams with eye popping numbers. He really did get jobbed getting left off the 2nd and 3rd team All NBA teams this year. In other words, he is caught up in all the superficial stuff outside of the game.
I don't do made up trade scenarios anymore. Lots of fans like making them up as much as they like watching the actual games, I'm just not into it anymore. I do look to how other unhappy players have been dealt with: Love was unhappy with the TWolves for almost two seasons, and Flip Saunders refused to deal him unless the offer was worth what he felt was fair. Boogie Cousins wanted off the Kings for what, four years? Five? They didn't even have a strong front office and they held him to his contract until the offer made it worth their time. All I'm saying is the other teams will likely lead with a low-ball offer. The best wove is to wait out the low-ball offers even if that means Kyrie starts the year a Cavalier.
