Bradley/Drummond hands down.
Yes x1000.
Bradley/Drummond hands down.
Curry is a very good defender for a point guard.
If you could pick only one of these bigs...which one.
Whiteside
Drummond
Jordan

Dragic
Beverly

Dragic Whiteside
Again we were a few blown calls and bad transition defensive from winning game 3....I think we would have won game 6...
But I do get the idea of just trying something different and hoping it works. Previously my hope was that Kyrie would just elevate his game to another level and maybe we'd get Melo or Wade in a buyout.
It depends on what else comes with that package... I still think Phoenix can outbid any of those teams by simply giving up Josh Jackson and throwing in Tyson Chandler. My #1 package is still Josh Jackson/Bledsoe/Chandler... that takes care of all our needs... We need a defensive center, a defensive PG and a defensive, young wing. No other team can really offer that when you think about it. Detroit is the only team other than Phoenix who can even come close, and that's only if they offer a package of Drummond/Bradley/Johnson. The ball is in the Suns' court. A trade of Kyrie/Shump + filler/s in exchange for Jackson/Bledsoe/Chandler gets it done tomorrow.I try to avoid overly pro-warrior posts these days, but... Curry averaged 8.0 rebounds per game in the finals, along with 2.2 steals. In game 3, no one on either team had more rebounds than Curry (K.Love tied him at 13)
K.Love had a monster rebound game in game 1, but if you just look at games 2,3,4,5 (skip game 1) Curry and K.Love were essentially identical rebounders for the rest of the series. (35 to 34)
K.Irving averaged essentially 1/2 as many rebounds, 1/2 as many steals. (while averaging 1/2 as many assists, but 2.6 more pts per game)
Small sample sizes, sure, but I wouldn't label Curry as "no defense". That would be a pretty harsh criticism of the Cavs rebounding and ball handling. (or, I suppose, against the refs 'allowing curry to get away with anything to jack up his stats?' for the steals)
I certainly don't mean this as trolling. I am just offering a perspective. I believe Irving -can- play defense as well as Curry, but he seemingly decided not to, in the finals, and I have no idea what that means or implies.
My point is talent wise we can go 6 games with the Warriors as currently constructed. Before Kyrie's trade demands the hope was he would elevate his game to another level and get us closer to actually beating the Warriors.Even if we "should've" won game 3, I don't think Game 6 is much better than a 50-50 shot.

You are overvaluing Tyson Chandler. For us to absorb that contract I want Chriss as well or another first round pick. Tyson would be unplayable VS GS and we already have a full roster of guys not versatile enough to play VS GSIt depends on what else comes with that package... Small sample size and a aberration that Curry would out rebound TT in a series.
Irving: 21pts per game, 3.4 rebs, 5.6 assist over his career
Curry: 22pts, 4.4 rebs, 6.8 assist
Interchangeable, put Curry on the cavs, we still lose in 5.
Put Irving on the warriors, they do not miss a beat.
Bev and Jordan just because it gives us a great on ball defender and rim protector
Love Bradley but Drummond isn't a rim protector and makes DJ look like Mark Price from the line
Dragic can't guard anyone ... Do really like Whiteside though
Dragic is ok defensively. The thing is, as important as defense is against the Warriors, we also need the playmaking as well against them. LeBron as the lone playmaker against the Warriors would ultimately fall short. Thats where having someone like Dragic would vital!
Not only is he a very good playmaker and a very effecient scorer, but is a very shooter as well. Can play off the ball, as well as be the primary playmaker when LeBron sits.
Can't trade Osman until Weds. - thinking that may be holding a deal up (?)Dragic and Rose would be something to watch... I agree get Whiteside and Dragic and there is a deal there. We would have to give up Osman thought no doubt.
