LeBron - Has nothing to prove as he is not only the best player but the MVP of the league even if they won't give it to him
Kyrie - Steps up his game in big moments which includes not only clutch moments but playoffs and more importantly in the finals. His effort on defense needs to improve (hence why he is losing the allure he once had among general fans + media). He is injury prone and doesn't have the best conditioning. I'm hoping this is a big off-season for him because he is healthy unlike 2015 off-season and not playing in the Olympics after a grueling finals like the 2016 off-season. He needs to work on his body so that he can survive the season while showing effort and improvement on defense. He probably once to get on an All-NBA team this year and unless he goes off on offense, his defense will hold him back from big $$.
Both Love/Kyrie has to see it as a slight that people even consider LeBron as the MVP because they struggle during the minutes LeBron is off and rarely if ever win game when LeBron is out.
Wade and Bosh were better overall players than both Kyrie and Love during their run with LeBron but surprisingly struggled when LeBron was out as well even with a much better coach. Hence why LeBron won back to back MVP trophies in Miami and could've been a three-peat as he finished 2nd in MVP voting during his first year in Miami (Rose won MVP).
If you don't put in the full effort (regardless of age) then you won't survive in the minutes or games without LeBron because he is the biggest crutch in NBA history. Ty Lue does himself and the GM a disservice by not game planning without LeBron because you then don't address the issue at hand (we instead sign more shooters instead of defender/tall versatile slasher...). Ty Lue is always full of excuses (LeBron didn't play, Korver was not out there spreading the floor, we looked tired...) instead of coaching the unit on the floor at any moment to their full capacity.
