2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
in my opinion, the Broncos of the early/mid 00s were the prime example of running back turnover. Talent fit and schematic execution had that rushing attack a consistent machine -- irrespective of whom was back there. That was when I personally started questioning first round backs.

The team that pays him is really going to regret it. He's a mediocre RB who doesn't really do anything special. He's not awful, but he's not amazing either. He's the definition of replaceable. Smarter to just draft a new RB than pay this dude. Unless you've got a generational RB like Peterson, I think it's smarter to just constantly replace them through the draft.

Do you think Sarcophagus Barkley is that type of prospect?

He seems like he can be a playmaker in the vein of David Johnson or Freeman. Rugged runners who are also smooth receivers aren't exactly common in the NFL.

He seems to be a top-tier RB prospect. I think this season will show us if he's that kind of player.

I have always been more hesitant to dub this guy anything more than considering competent. And my expectation is that this front office was never going to make a large monetary expenditure on a running back. The draft might be a different story.

There were some opportunities there for some good gains but it didn't pan out. This is only the second game and this line hasn't had a whole lot of time together so I expect them to get better.

Yes!!!. I've been pimping this guy since pretty season. He knows the playbook. I hope he sees some snaps this week. He's twice the receiver that Riddick Britt is.

Practice squad...he won't be on the 53 for Sunday.

The amount of people hyping Leslie up is hilarious (more so the media). Maybe he can be a player in the league, but as good as everyone thought he was....he was unemployed for a reason.

So was Willie Snead. But yeah the media is clamoring for someone, ANYone, to take snaps away from Kenny Britt.

Sashi's gonna turn Britt into a 5th rounder, you watch.

The overreaction to Kenny Britt by our media is very predictable. Not one of those who are yelling the loudest are even good at evaluating talent. In their eyes if you are a local product, went to college in Ohio, have relatives who have had ties to The Browns, An underdog, you are valuable.

If the Browns had just drafted one buckeye the last two years within the first three rounds, they'd be a starter on this team.

Urban produces NFL talent. The Brian Robiskie days are done.

That's not the point.

That's not the point.

Apologies, my frustration sets in from time to time but I get the point.

I am just saying that the media has the right to bash Britt b/c of his production on the field up to this point. Kizer is from Toledo and we haven't seen a ton of articles about him being an Ohio-born savior for us either. Remember all the Charlie Frye feel good stories before he even took a snap? All the QB talk in the off-season centered around the QB competition, which is understandable, but I don't recall seeing a bunch of articles vying for Kizer.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Browns media does suck but I feel their criticism is founded regarding Britt. He has said all the right things this week but until i see results on the field, he's just another player taking advantage of the Browns with what looks like a bloated contract.

I don't even care what the media has to say regarding Britt. My two goddamn eyes have told me everything I need to know.
