2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Apologies, my frustration sets in from time to time but I get the point.

I am just saying that the media has the right to bash Britt b/c of his production on the field up to this point. Kizer is from Toledo and we haven't seen a ton of articles about him being an Ohio-born savior for us either. Remember all the Charlie Frye feel good stories before he even took a snap? All the QB talk in the off-season centered around the QB competition, which is understandable, but I don't recall seeing a bunch of articles vying for Kizer.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Browns media does suck but I feel their criticism is founded regarding Britt. He has said all the right things this week but until i see results on the field, he's just another player taking advantage of the Browns with what looks like a bloated contract.

You're kidding right?

Also the people in the media were the ones pushing the narrative that Britt should be benched for dropping a pass i the first game of the season. They are the ones who want to bench him for one of the many other WR's they have criticized.

After watching last night's game, what a difference do actual offensive weapons make. I'll have no issue with drafting Barkley/Guice early. I also like CoCo but he's just too unreliable thus far throughout his career. Unfortunately I don't see any WR1's coming out of this draft (Josh Gordon pls).

Britt should be benched because he sucks and because he's fucking dogging it out there.

I am talking pre-season articles lamenting that Kizer should be the starter. From all accounts, those articles came after he took snaps in the pre-season and proved he was worth a damn. It wasn't some preconceived notion that since he hailed from Toledo, he should start.

The media was riding the Kessler train pretty high until actual training camp started and they were able to see the QB's for themselves.

Not trying to argue over how our media covers the Browns but there was a lot more local hype about Ohio boys Quinn and Frye then there was Kizer.

It'll be interesting to see how they approach this offseason. There's a number of young WR available in FA that are either established as #1 threats or have that potential. Given the cap space the Brown's will have in FA and the number of picks they have, I wouldn't be shocked to see them throw a bunch of money at a WR and then use a late 2nd on one as well.

Really they should do it if they need a QB or not. Then spend the rest of the picks on RB, LB, and shoring up the secondary.

Maybe they shouldn't have cut him in the first place? At least they seem to be able to admit to mistakes
Well with Coleman out for an extended time and Britt in the doghouse it makes sense to bring someone they have a comfort level in rather than somebody off the street or another team's practice squad.

Leslie reportedly only had a couple of workouts from other NFL teams. Jordan Payton worked out for New England but they apparently weren't interested. The Browns WR core without Coleman and a seemingly disinterested Britt is as thin as it's been since the MohMass days. Slightly less hopeless though since DeValve is something of a hybrid TE/WR, Njoku a physical freak and Duke Johnson with pass catching abilities. Still.... #FreeJoshGordon

What?

You realize that in between us cutting someone that literally no one else in the NFL wanted and re-signing him we had our #1 WR break his hand and another WR getting snaps ruled doubtful, right?

What an odd thing to call a mistake
