I don't care to convince you, but being "in it for the money" would seem to be a conclusion one draws when a guy tests the market for, you know, every last dollar. So, not only are you shrugging off Jamie Collins' actual words, you're also shrugging off how he played his free agency decision.

I mean, it's obvious he was never going to be able to "hit the market", because we would have franchise tagged him.

He got paid, one of the highest LB contracts ever. We were 1-15. Saying he "thought we were close" is ludicrous. He wanted paid and he clearly wanted it on a long term deal. If he had his choice I'm sure he'd pick 25 teams over Cleveland at the same price.
