2018 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Smartest move for his future. Sucks for OSU, obviously, but they've played 4.5 games without him. Get healthy with the bye coming up and just keep moving ahead with the guys you've got. This is still clearly a very, very talented team with big (and attainable) goals ahead of it.

I don't know if it's a smart move. The rookie pay scale for the #1 pick is almost twice of the #11 pick. He could lose 13-18 million. Joey has had a couple injuries that will come into play with Nick's evaluation. Plus it isn't like this team is out of the playoffs, they are ranked #2. It bring up questions of if he got injured in a contract season what would he do.

Smartest move for his future.

I get how not playing any more this year is the "smartest move for his future." But I don't get how withdrawing from school is such a smart move.

I actually think he's done them a huge favor. No more twisting in the wind, no more questions for coaches and players to deal with, opportunity for the staff to evaluate, clarify and solidify their options going forward the rest of the season. Parties can all move forward knowing exactly where everyone stands.

And no more waiting for some defensive savior to return to the team. The players now on the team know that they will have to step up because they can't count on Bosa being their difference maker in the playoffs.

Lol, what?

No.

Joey's injury isn't going to hurt Nick. And Nick's film and eventual workouts will mean quite a bit more than "wondering what he'd do in a contract season."

Nobody, not one team, is going to actually care about that. You take the best guys.

What’s Nick Bosa’s legacy here?

I’ll never condemn the McCaffery’s of the world for sitting out the Sun Bowl, or even Ward for sitting out the Cotton Bowl. They’re glorified exhibition games at the end of the day.

But if you’re truly healthy enough to play by mid-November and your team is 11-0 getting ready to play your biggest rival at home for a chance to play for a Big Ten Championship, CFB playoff appearance, and National Championship... and you’re good on all of that? That’s super fucking weak to me.

I can’t say I’ll look back on Nick’s time here with a fond memory of him. Great player and all, but no real legacy left behind.

Is Nick's legacy getting ejected in his final game?

No, so Nick's legacy will be as another great Buckeye.

Big Ten LOY
ACA All-American
Top 10 pick
etc.

He's still the probable number 1 pick in the draft because not a single NFL team cares about this development

It’s Tyler Glad It’s Friday time now. So whatevs.

Lol not really

Team: Saw you got injured, you okay?

Bosa: Yes.

Team: We're very concerned you'd also sit out a contract season because health.

At least Joey played in that meaningless Battlefrog Fiesta Bowl game... which no sane person would've blamed him if he didn't. And that targeting ejection was garbage.

Sure, Nick was a great player, although it was sort of a weird career here with not even starting his first two years. Again, if he's not healthy, it is what it is. Not going to blast the kid for not wanting to play through the injury, risk making it worse, and jeopardize his NFL career. But if he knew he would be fully healed by November and still just chose to quit... that to me is just another story entirely.
