2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
1) Ed Oliver
2) Nick Bosa
3) Sam Darnold
4) Saquon Barkley
5) Derwin James

Ed Oliver is The Man, but he just fucked up his knee. He's on the sideline in a sweatsuit.

I'm looking forward to the combine for these skill position players to separate themselves. The more football I watch the more convinced I am that Barkley and Guice will go top ten, but I want to see if there's any fall off when Guice rests and his backup replaces him against Troy.

I was looking at Walter Football, just as a quick reference, but they have us drafting Barkley and Ridley in the first round. What do you guys think of that?

Not horrible, but I have a feeling we will end up with three first rounders. Take one of the twos and add something to get into bottom of round one to target a player. Ridley is a guy I would rather use a second rounder on, but not sure he falls that low.

I can see us doing what we did for Njoku so we can gain that additional year on a player as well. I mean 3 first round picks and 2 second round picks isn't all that too bad. If we get high picks but decide to move down and get more we could easily get another 2nd/3rd and more for 19 draft. We have a ton of possibilities and a ton of cap space so I would think any holes we have now, we can address fairly easily.

I don't get to watch a lot of games cause of work at the end of day so I cannot say who we should draft. I usually wait until we are closer to the draft to really study guys.

Yeah it is way too early too to delineate between the players at the mid to end of round one versus start of round 2.

Plus we need to see how the season plays out. I would hope we would draft two WRs somewhat early and sign a vet too.

I think we will end up getting two WRs next season, one via draft and another in free agency. Like if we cannot find the vet then we may get another like round 3-4 depending on who slips in the draft. It does need addressed especially if Britt doesn't show up on Sundays this season. I knew he had character issues in the past but I was hoping he matured. If he doesn't pick it up then we need to cut his butt and find someone that will.

Also guys will jump and fall when the draft is coming up since we cannot see as many character issues nor all the combine stats just yet.

At this very moment is Barkley the #1 pick in this draft?

Seems unprecedented, but to me he's the best prospect in the draft.

No. This seriously happens every year. People were saying the same thing about Fournette last year and though overdrafted he didn't go #1

2 of the most predictable things about every draft season

1. People talking about how much better next year's QB class is

2. People losing their minds over the top RB prospect like they've never seen such a talent (my personal favorite is how the line "best back to come out since Peterson" has been used about 9 different times since Peterson came out)

You bring up some important reoccurring media traps, but Fournette is a big part of why the Jags offense has improved this offseason. A game-changer at running back has become underrated at this point, even if the media's hyperbole is laughable.

You forgot the lowest 40 yard dash times suddenly becoming first rounders, offensive linemen with no experience run blocking having "great knee bend" and stories about a bad breakup with a sophomore girlfriend becoming possible future charges of sexual assault.

If things keep headed in this direction, we may indeed have a different front office selecting these players in April.

I'm really of the belief that the NFL needs to take over and "save" this team.

The NBA did as such with the Cavs under circumstances that were not as bad. That's the level of bad we're talking about.

Doesn't matter, whoever it is will fuck it up as the Browns always do.
