2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just from looking at the Mock Drafts, I am really starting to only see Darnold, Barkley or Minkah combinations with our first two picks.

My Biggest question is how much is Denver willing to give up to get number one and are we willing to take the offer if we get a guy like Taylor?

Both the Broncos and the Jets could be looking to move up to one, to get Rosen. Darnold, etc. I mean if we trade down from one to 5, we are guaranteed two of Mayfield, Allen, Barkley and Minkah. I mean if we can still get Mayfield and Minkah by trading down to 5, I almost have to say we need to take it in a sense. I know not everyone is on the Mayfield train, but I feel he will be a solid pro QB if we allow the right time to adjust to the NFL.

It’s January.

Unless something really happens at the combine, I dont see a whole lot of changes in the top 6 to be honest. I am pretty sure QB list will be Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield, Allen by most teams and the overall Prospect list will have Barkley, Minkah and Chubb at the top. I know it is early but I really do not seeing it change a whole lot at the top. Guys like Mayfield, Allen and Jackson will all be effected by their combines at the end of the day, but something tells me its not changing much.

Guys like Denzel Ward and Roquan Smith might end up in the mix in the top 5 after the combine.

You never know. Like I said, it’s January.

Hypothetically, let's say the Browns fall in love with a 1st round prospect and want to trade back in. How far up the draft board does 33 and 35 together take them? Anyone have that value chart handy?

Value wise, it’s the equivalent to the 13-14 pick.

33 = 580 points
35 = 550 points
Total of 1130 points

13 = 1150 points
14 = 1100 points

Wouldn’t get that pick, but a little below—probably 15-17 would be doable.

The only reason I would like if we traded back up in the 1st is to hear our name 3x on Day 1. Other than that, keep 33/35 and draft 2 other pieces we need. They are basically 1st round picks.

You could couple 33 with the Panther's 4th to get back around 28.

We don't need that many rookies (4th, etc), and if we love a player sitting there at 28-29, it gets us that 5th year of affordable team control.

Then, you still have 35.

I'm intrigued to see what Dorsey can do in the mid-rounds. He seems to have a knack for hitting on those (Hill, Kelce, Hunt).
