I’m good with the Celtics consolidating a lot of those powerful assets for an unknown commodity instead of a Kawhi.
It’s fucked up they could easily do both of those moves. Oof.
Yeah...I think Bamba's enough of a project offensively that he won't have much of a positive overall impact in year 1. Trading Brown+Rozier+picks for him may actually make them slightly worse for next year.
Well, no, they'll have a full year of Hayward, not to mention a second-year Tatum, so my guess is they'd end up better.
And I think Bamba is going to be like Markannen next year in the sense that, like Lauri, everyone is going to feel like he'll be a really solid pro, but he's going to burst onto the scene and make people say, "holy shit, he's way better than we thought."
Actually, that could apply to Tatum too.
Yeah...that is very realistic and it fucking sucks. Bamba on the Celtics is a huge problem.
After watching a lot of film and talking to people I trust in the analytics community, Sexton is growing on me again.
He was my favorite player in this range pre-draft and a lot of the analysis I have seen is very bullish on him at the next level.
He has rated out highly in future w/s, future dws and shot release rate / consistency.
He didn't shoot the ball really well as a freshman (from 3) but his mechanical analysis is really good. He has a really repeatable motion, gets it off quickly and can create his shot in traffic. Much of his shooting % dip was some suspect shot selection as the season wore on, something that can easily be cleaned up.
Can finish with both hands at the rim, nice vision out of the PNR, good lift off the dribble and the potential to be a good+ NBA defender. He reminds me of a more skilled Patrick Beverly, which would be an incredibly nice fit.
Went back to the Cavs Assets post. Is #8 all the Cavs have for 2018? A shame. If MPJ somehow falls to the Cavs, I wish there were a 2nd round option so that Okobo could be snatched up
Well, Cavs gave up their fucking 1st round pick.
Dammit. I'm going to be so.... upset this offseason, I can feel it
