2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Starting five next year: Who cares... The only thing that matters at this point is doing everything possible to keep LeBron. Then you go from there. Otherwise, this forum will be nothing but who is available in the next lottery for years to come, assuming enough people even stick around for it to stay afloat.

I wouldn't worry about this forum if we go into a rebuild. There were a lot of us here thru the bad years. The regular season was at least alot more interesting, especially when we had young guys after that first year.

GTFO. some of us have been cavs fans well before LeBron. If he leaves, i’ll be following our tank threads and Bynum safari’s along with the other fans

Is that not exactly what I said? You just rephrased "lottery talk"...

Says a guy who joined last year. This place did just fine the four years LeBron was gone. Feel free to take your bandwagoning ass elsewhere.

Oh, so the length of time joined on this forum determines your Cavs fandom. Nice to know. I didn't post on this forum, but followed longer than since you joined because I used Cavfanatics. So eat a you know what...

Good god this place is not going anywhere if LeBron leaves. I’m not sure why everyone thinks he’s going to leave anyways.

Stay or go it's LeBron's call. He has to assume responsibility for the roster also. He wanted Blatt gone and he wanted Love, JR, TT, and no matter what he said it was his personality that pushed Kyrie out. A lot of this roster was built for him and handpicked.

I've been following this team since it began in 1970 and will be following it after James hangs up the laces. I hope this time he doesn't hang the Cavs out to dry like the last.

Can y’all stop bickering?

If what you say is nothing constructive towards our future, then pls both of you, and others like them: STFU.

Fully expecting a gutted roster ready to tank.

LeBron is leaving.

I hope we hit on #8 whether it's MPJr, Bamba, Carter, or Triple J.

Cedi and Nance will lead our tank with leadership they learned from the King. Zizic will be one hell of a backup if we select one of those 3 bigs.

Trade Love to somewhere he prefers and we measure the best value. I don't think there's equal value coming back for Kevin. We will lose that trade, but he's a champion which makes us a champion, so we won that trade for him in the first place.

I'm dangling JR, TT, Clarkson, Korver for a few spare tires and some change.

I'd most likely aim to keep Hill and maybe turn his expiring into an asset.

These next few years will be better than 2010-14. I assure you. When you measure the 2018 club vs the 2010 club minus LeBron, and plus Cedi, Zizic, Nance, and the 8th pick stands out more that what we once had. Then you factor in trading Love for another building block.

The future isn't by any means bright, not yet, we have 3 years of picks to hit on, but it's not dark and gloomy either.

Are the Cavs missing any first round picks after this year?

It’s a catch 22 for the Cavs. Can’t recruit elite talent, sign a Paul George or trade the 8th pick without a lock in from lbj...

Problem is we won’t get a lock in from lbj.

The only reason why Lebron may stay on the Cavs at the end of the day is because going west doesn’t make a ton of sense if you want to keep going to the finals.

And there isn’t a group of dudes in the east that he has prior relationships with.

I still laugh at the idea of people thinking Lebron in philly. So silly....

That should be like the 10th priority to sort out for the Cavs.

However you feel about his coaching acumen or development skills, coaching is way way down on the list of reasons we can not beat the Warriors as currently constructed.

If LeBron demands it(highly doubt it) or Gilbert is willing to eat $21M dollars + the cost of the next coach, great. There are better coaches than Lue our thsre in the world.

But in terms of the talent and rosters at the present moment, it’s the coaching is irrelevant. A better coach would have at best helped us to win one game in this series.

First and most urgent priority it to upgrade the talent, add another star, and add better, smarter, driven 2 way role players than guys like TT, JR, Clarkson, and Hood

Correction:

"There are better coaches than Lue our thsre in the world."

should be

"There are coaches out there in the world"

And I am serious in this. When you root for a team, you want to see them practicing, working on something and see the results on court, players developing. None of these are happening. All the season went by but not getting good habits in defence(defending of screens, not making mistakes on switches, help defence etc.), no increase in ball movement and finding plays for particular players, fitting players into roles that they can produce. And that really mattered in the finals. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are tons of other things that are mentioned over and over again. Yes, I want to win a championship but I do not want to lose like this.

Assuming Lue is gone.

Trae Young
Rodney Hood
Cedi Osman
Larry Nance Jr.
Ante Zizic

If Lue is back.

George Hill
J.R. Smith
Rodney Hood
Larry Nance Jr.
Tristan Thompson
