2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It’s a catch 22 for the Cavs. Can’t recruit elite talent, sign a Paul George or trade the 8th pick without a lock in from lbj...

Problem is we won’t get a lock in from lbj.

The only reason why Lebron may stay on the Cavs at the end of the day is because going west doesn’t make a ton of sense if you want to keep going to the finals.

And there isn’t a group of dudes in the east that he has prior relationships with.

I still laugh at the idea of people thinking Lebron in philly. So silly....
Well yeah, Lebron would have to be part of that recruiting from like...............right now. If Lebron isn't doing anything, the Cavs should act like he is gone.

Lebron doesn't need to officially commit to recruit elite talent.

When Paul George almost came to the Cavs in the deal that Pritchard nixed at the last minute, Paul George likely had a behind the scenes commitment by Lebron to stay even though Lebron made no such public commitment.

Chris Paul had Cleveland as his first trade destination choice before he got traded to the Rockets due to the Cavs front office turmoil.

What? Where the hell did you hear that?

Assuming LBJ leaves, this is my dream scenario. LBJ decides to go to Philly and talks PG into go there with him. Only way that happens is a s/t w/the cavs. The cavs trade LBJ to Philly for Covington, Bayless, Fultz and the player Philly drafts at 10 this year (hopefully, SGA or sexton). So next's lineup and roster is:
Hill
Hood
MPJ
Love
Nance

Fultz
Bayless
Cedi
Covington
Sexton/SGA
Zizic
TT
JC
Rookie

(JR is released)

That may be the most weak minded roster ever constructed. Should we call them the bore squad? Not even joking. Is Cedi going to be the leader? Literally an injury waiting to happen at every position.

So if LBJ leaves, what better/realistic option is better than taking a chance on last year's #1 pick and getting the 10th pick in this year's draft? It wouldn't be about winning, it would be about developing the young kids. You keep Love and hope he puts up Minn numbers and you move him at the deadline.

I think Bron has to at least show forth some effort in recruiting Paul George to Cleveland. Sell him hard on the idea of playing in the East. Tell him Kemba will be on the way if he comes. You add Kemba and Paul George then you immediately offset Boston's additions of Kyrie and Hayward. Tell him you're not going to LA and that if he heads that way he'll be on his own.

This is our only real chance of keeping him IMO. If he can get PG on board then things really get interesting. That gives us the leverage in a potential trade with OKC. There's no reason they should get Kevin Love back for a guy who is going to walk. I'd offer them up Hood and Korver.

Package Love to PHX for #16
Then trade #16 to Charlotte for Kemba

Draft MPJ/Bridges at #8

Kemba
George, Cedi
MPJ/Bridges
Bron
Tristan/Nance/Zizic

Lmao in no planet will Lebron be on the Cavs in 2019 playing alongside our 2018 draft pick.

Some of you people need to think. This man just wasted two immaculate years of basketball supremacy because his teammates weren’t good enough.

The Cavs 2018 pick is gone gone gone gone if Lebron decides to stay...

I'm like everyone else, if LBJ is going to stay he needs to let the Cavs now like right away. As many have stated it's all up to LBJ now. If he wants to make this team better, he can easily get on the phone to PG and make it happen. Forget all the other noise out in the media, remember LBJ said himself if you hear it from his mouth, then you know it's true. I truly hope if he does leave, he doesn't screw us like he did before. Let someone in the Cavs organization know his intentions as soon as possible. I laugh at all the hungry seething members of the media stating the Cavs are strapped for roster improvements. It's like oh okay thanks for spreading more BS. It can be done, but it's up to LBJ now.

If Lebron staying is contingent on Presti accepting Love plus minimal sweeteners for George, the trade Lebron wanted badly a year ago, how would Lebron tell the Cavs he's going to stay right now? If Lebron publicly said he'll stay if they flip Love for George, what do you think Presti would do? That's right, rape the Cavs. Lebron does us a service if he avoids disclosing his intentions.

I'll still be a Cavs fan next season. I may not be happy about a lot of stuff but I support our team. If LBJ goes (and he may not go, I believe) the expectations will be smaller for certain.
Regarding PG, he's not enough, is he? What's his agenda? IDK enough about his mindset. Lose Love for him, that ain't enough. We need some hungry players and playmakers too.
