2019 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Browns did find a guy late in the season, however, that's a damn good special teamer. That Tavier Thomas or whatever his name is. He was excellent covering kicks and punts at the end of the year.

one thing i'm shocked about is how may people think this is a strong tackle draft.

There are a lot of decent prospects, but maybe 1 or 2 that I would actually take in the 1st round. And spoilers, Jonah Williams is not one of them.

I've been reading some opinion that Jonah Williams projects to be a guard....

Let me guess: Jawaan Taylor and Andre Dillard, because Williams, Ford, and Risner are actually elite guard prospects.

I actually agree with this. None of the tackles seem top 10 worthy to me, now the good news for us is we don't have a top 10 pick.

How weird is that to say out loud. Hell, we don't even have a top 15 pick. Let that sink in. We finally ruined our draft by actually winning. Its about fucking time.

Dillard and Ford for me. Taylor, IMO, is a VERY very long term project.

Williams is definitely an interior OL and Risner isn't anything special and I believe he'll likely move inside.

Ford is shorter than both Williams and Risner, who if the Browns needed guards would make great left and right guards. I need to see the hand and arm measurements on Ford before I believe a 6'4 guy can play right tackle at an above average level.

Unless Williams goes and measures some T-Rex arms, I have no idea why people would project him as a guard

I pulled this from Walter Football - yes, I know they aren't great for analysis but how do you screw up measurements:

According to NFL teams' preseason data provided by team sources, Williams checks in at 6-foot-4, 297 pounds and is said to run a fast 40 at 5.10 seconds. Measurement data has him with 33.63-inch arms, 9.13-inch hands, and an 81.25-inch wing span.

I remember reading that sometime in October and thinking those measurements are about where Corbett measured out. Under 6'6, under 34 inch arms, and small hands are all black marks for a left tackle. Again, with a lot of these tackle prospects I really want the combine to get here asap.

We don't really have exact measurements yet, but you can tell when watching him that he has VERY short arms. It's noticeable.

Deebo is definitely a good player. He was also basically the only good player on South Carolina, which might inflate those stats some.

I was just going through the Senior Bowl measurements and a few stats jumped out:

https://247sports.com/Article/2019-Senior-Bowl-measurements-weigh-in-results-128197183/

1. Deebo Samuels has 10 1/8 inch hands, which is a huge advantage.

2. RCF darling Andy Isabella measured in at 8 1/2 and possession receiver Hunter Renfrow at 7 3/4. Apologies to Renfrow's girlfriend.

3. Dillard was a shade under 6'5 but 34 inch arms help his cause. Risner measured better than I expected at 6'4 5/8 and 34 1/4 arms, 10 5/8 hands. That's a real right tackle combination.

4. Tarrill Hanks and Drew Tranquil both measured in at 6'2, which helps covering tight ends. Te'Von Coney didn't make 6'1, which hurts considering he is considered a run stopper.

5. Oruwariye measured 6'1 3/4, and you can't have enough size corners who can actually cover. The Rock Ya-Sin hype train hit a slow down as he fell short of six feet. He was supposedly listed at 6'2.
