2019 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dude that would bounce off my hand so hard and land 80 feet away. I could see myself whiffing altogether and not even making contact tbh.

What’s the bust rate of 1st round picks overall? 50%? Even if he isn’t an elite tackle (I think he is), what are the odds that he’s not regarded as an excellent OL? This feels like a can’t miss guy. Not saying HoF but great player.

A few things:

Josh Allen was super productive at Kentucky. Bosa show some production but he never truly stood out over some of the others production wise.

I suspect Allen will crush the combine. Not sure Bosa will test as well as his brother.

After that? It's all just prediction

Haven't we seen this story before with Josh Allen?

1st round pick, supposed to be drafted for his ability in the passing game, turns out he is more effective in the run game?

For what its worth, Allen is well below Bosa for me in terms of technique and refinement.

Does anyone think that dorsey might want to see how Harrison develops with a new offensive line coach before drafting an lt? I'm just wondering if he'll go after someone in trade or free agency and let Harrison develop behind them.

Sure. So now the NFL isn't allowing them to meet with 32 teams all in one setting to explain their past struggles. Wonderful. Well done, NFL.

I mean, this might help Simmons fall to us at #17; I'm just saying that I'm not a fan of it.

Its always best to make sure you only punish a 19 year 300lb kid who benches 500lbs that has a propensity for hitting women. I mean its all about the public image of the NFL and not actually trying to rehabilitate the kid to make sure it doesn't happen again and actually give someone who made a mistake as teenager.

Besides a guy at that size is not a danger to woman if he doesn't get rehabilitated, I mean with feminism and a good self defense class, should be no problem for a 130lb woman to defend herself because society doesn't think he should get any help controlling his anger.

Simmons will still set up individual meetings with teams. The NFL has a no win situation with domestic violence. Not allowing past violators to participate in the combine is absolutely a PR stunt, but every mistake their players make during the season is yet another black eye for the game. In a situation like this, when Reuben Foster screws up yet again, the NFL can say "Hey we discourage this all we can. We kicked him out of the combine."

Pun intended?

As I start to break down this class in terms of fits for Cleveland, here is a rough early board of how I have guys pegged so far based on two things.

1. Talent, future potential value
2. Do they fit in Cleveland

Early on, after the Senior Bowl, here is what I've got:

1. Nick Bosa
2. Quinnen Williams
3. Clelin Ferrell
4. Devin White
5. Jonah Williams
6. Ed Oliver
7. Rashaun Gary
8. TJ Hockenson
9. Cody Ford
10. Greedy Williams
11. Jachai Polite
12. Christian Wilkins
13. Jeffrey Simmons
14. Jawaan Taylor
15. Greg Little
16. Kelvin Harmon
17. Charles Omenihu
18. Dre'Mont Jones
19. Montez Sweat
20. Josh Allen

Sure teams are going to meet with him. I just think he would've had a chance to field questions about his past from any and all on-comers.

Rehabilitating his image is just as good for him as it would be if he becomes a good player in the league. The NFL is entirely two-faced and at this point, it's like they are pretending to give a damn. I would rather them just admit that they wish these things didn't happen, but at the end of the day, they don't give a damn if the person is talented. They keep trying to play nice with the public despite the fact that fans aren't turning off the games anyway.

Just say "We don't care if they're good people. We wish they were, but we really just want the best players in the league." Just say that. That's the truth. Stop faking otherwise.
