I will say that I hope that if/when we go DT, we don't pick one of those large, slow, run stuffing big men. That archetype of player is just being phased out in today's NFL, and I'd rather we get a smaller DT that excels in interior pass rush if if given the choice between the two types.
How teams do in today's NFL is all tied to the pass game, both passing and defending the pass. If that means we'll be gashed now and then by the run, then that's a small price to pay.
Edit: the fact that we traded away Danny Shelton makes me think that Dorsey and co agree with it.

No run pluggers. If you're a defensive lineman and you can't consistently beat 1 on 1 blocks, I'm just not interested.
