I know plenty don't like Doncic or Irving, but imo, that is a damn fun team to watch. I hope they make it far. I don't see it happening, cause Doncic doesn't play defense, ha... but... those two in particular are about the most entertaining players in the league on offense.

Dean Wade has no points in the last three games. He's 0-for-2 in 28 minutes. Three straight games where he failed to get 10 minutes of playing time. It looks like JBB likes Niang better.

In those same three games Niang has 59 minutes, over double Wade's total. Georges is 9-for-14 from the field and 6-for-11 on 3's. He's looking to score whenever he gets the ball while Wade acts like the basket does not exist. Anytime the ball ends up in his hands he just throws it to the closest teammate like it's a hot potato. He never even looks to see if he has an open shot or if anyone is even guarding him. What happened to his confidence? He's turned into the most passive player I've ever seen.
If you include the Magic game, which you probably should as it was also post all star break, Niang's numbers are decidedly more mixed.

I think the answer as to why isn't Dean playing more is that Mobley is back and JBB feels like he needs Niang's offense, such as it is, in more rotations than Wade's defense and rebounding.

They're very, very difficult to defend and they're center rotation is legit. They're shaky when it comes to perimeter defense and Luka is capable of melting down when he's not getting every superstar call to which he believes he's entitled.

I think the decisive factor is Niang's playoff experience. JBB usually emphasizes defense over offense which would give Dean the edge. But I also agree we need Niang's offense because guys like Ice and Mobley have limits as offensive players.

I guess it makes sense there aren't many super long NBA buzzer beaters because a timeout advances the ball to mid court.

You've also gotta figure there's a decent probability of Kyrie getting hurt as some point given his history

He's already missed considerable time this season so they only need him to stay healthy for the other half of the season.

It's looking more and more likely that Philly is headed for the play in. If so, the 3 seed may be preferable to the 2 seed. I'd prefer ANY of Indy/Orlando/Miami than a Philly team with Embid.

Ehhh. Are we entirely sure that healthy Embiid will even return this year? Coming off his procedure, a player that already struggles with his conditioning. I don’t know if we will see a “healthy” Embiid this year even tho he may play again.

Also I think people are severely underestimating how much of a crapshoot the play-in is. It’s not even guaranteed that the Sixers would win their play-in game. One bad shooting night and you’re sunk.

I’m still in the camp of get the 2 seed at all costs.
