2023-24 Season | Game #19 | Trail Blazers @ Cavs | Nov. 30, 2023 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's one thing to be bad, it's another thing to see something that could be GOOD, go to waste from such incompetence. That's what makes me so angry.

I'm not saying we're a title contender, no, but I think we could be a team that can make noise in the East.

The way we are with JBB? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we didn't even make the playoffs. That's how bad this asshole is.

I'm gonna keep watching games because I'm #HornyforCavs but man this is brutal. JBB is so frustrating. This should be a really fun team. We've had some really fun games. But too often this clown just ruins it with his bone headed rotations, complete inability to read the game, elementary school level offense, and constant complaining at the refs.

On my way back home from the game. Embarrassing loss. From up close u could clearly see that the Cavs were just fuckin with them. Lazy passes, lazy on the boards, chucking up stupid 3s early in the shot clock. They played like they didn't give a damn after going up 14. An easy dub wasted on players and coaches that didn't take the trailblazers seriously.

I blame our coach single handily being why we lost.

Guys got tired, ran out of gas.

Even coaches that have their rotation in tact, KNOW to use the bench, when guys don't have their legs.

Every coach extends their rotation, when starters have heavy legs. Except this guy.

This is just abysmal coaching.

Garland didn’t have it. Best thing JBB could have done for him was get CPJ in there. I don’t get the post game pressers via League Pass but I hope someone asks him about the eight man rotation.

I don't often vocally bash JBB, but that was terrible. It almost seemed like it's entire substitution pattern was to ice his own players. Then once they were nice and cold, he doubled down by keeping them on the floor no matter the cost

"just trying to get an understanding of where we're going and how we get there"

After being asked why it took him so long to get to the presser.

and then the classic "we just didn't play well enough"

Answered a couple more questions and abruptly left.

Garland doesn't have it when playing with Mitchell.

Two things I'd do...

Fire JBB...

And if teams come calling for Mitchell, listen to everything you can get for him.

Do you trade him no matter what? NO. But if something makes sense, I'd do it, without question.

He doesn't fit here, and I think we got to cut our losses, if the right opportunity approaches. I think we could lose Mitchell and not lose a step IMO. For the right deal.

I'm not giving him away or anything, no. And there's probably very little chance someone offers or is willing to trade him for something we'd like.

So he's probably staying. I'm 100% open to trading him though. Without question.

JBB pulled all five starters early in one game last year (or maybe the year before) when they were playing like shit.

Tonight the rotation was chiseled in stone and carried down from Mt. Sinai.

It takes about roughly 21-24 games into the season to evaluate how a team will look for the rest of it. Hovering around .500 looks about right and .500 is closer to 2022's ending as a play-in than it is last season as the #4 seed. And this is after adding shooting and improved PG depth. Crazy.

This reminds me of a great quote

mitchell proved a few years ago he can carry a team deep in the playoffs in a stacked western conference. garland has not done that or shown that he can.

between the two, i'm fielding more calls for garland.

That's silly. We saw what happened in the last two seasons when DG dominates the ball like that. Teams load up to stop him and that's all she wrote for the Cavs. Their fit is fine. They just need a coach to grease it. The league is filled with good teams that have two guys like that.
