2023-24 Season | Game #19 | Trail Blazers @ Cavs | Nov. 30, 2023 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well if you let him got now, you start off with a damn near guaranteed win against the Pistons.

It takes about roughly 21-24 games into the season to evaluate how a team will look for the rest of it. Hovering around .500 looks about right and .500 is closer to 2022's ending as a play-in than it is last season as the #4 seed. And this is after adding shooting and improved PG depth. Crazy.
Here I will sleep on this tonight. But ballys is horrible. Canceling service tomorrow. Cavs ain’t worth 20 a month. The players play like they not care mrsa are thry

I see every single young player on this roster going to waste. ALL of them. Because of the coach. Mobley, Garland, Okoro, Porter Jr. are all being slowed back.
This is my and should be this front offices biggest concern right now. ZERO growth in our young guys. This team plays with zero fire ever, it’s time to call it what it is and fire the coach

I blame our coach single handily being why we lost.

Guys got tired, ran out of gas.

Even coaches that have their rotation in tact, KNOW to use the bench, when guys don't have their legs.

Every coach extends their rotation, when starters have heavy legs. Except this guy.

This is just abysmal coaching.
Especially when you have guys to do it!!!!!

mitchell proved a few years ago he can carry a team deep in the playoffs in a stacked western conference. garland has not done that or shown that he can.

between the two, i'm fielding more calls for garland.

That makes no sense. Garland is here long-term, Mitchell is not. I'm not at all suggesting Garland is better.

Mitchell may walk, regardless.

Bro, Mitchell has only gotten to the second round... That's considered deep in the playoffs? Seriously?

Injuries played a role, but there’s more to it this year. Even with guys out, the body language is just different this year. Less joy.
Because they know a first-round loss is their ceiling, with their current coach.

Need more than a cheerleader, to win a playoff series.

One thing I'll say in defense of Garland. While he's not better than Mitchell, I do think he makes others around him better, unlike Mitchell. Garland is flawed as a player, I get that. And yes, Mitchell is definitely better than him.

I don't think Mitchell makes anyone around him better, in fact, I think he makes guys around him worse. At least our guys. Not a lot, but slightly, because everyone has to alter their game to him, and he doesn't alter his game to anyone else.

In Utah, it worked, because he had different personnel. And they really didn't very skilled offensive players, just guys that can stand around, and just catch and shoot.

He's a great offensive player, but he's basically just a solo act.

I just don't like it. Nothing personal, it's just who he is, and I don't think he can change.

Garland doesn't have it when playing with Mitchell.

Two things I'd do...

Fire JBB...

And if teams come calling for Mitchell, listen to everything you can get for him.

Do you trade him no matter what? NO. But if something makes sense, I'd do it, without question.

He doesn't fit here, and I think we got to cut our losses, if the right opportunity approaches. I think we could lose Mitchell and not lose a step IMO. For the right deal.

I'm not giving him away or anything, no. And there's probably very little chance someone offers or is willing to trade him for something we'd like.

So he's probably staying. I'm 100% open to trading him though. Without question.
I wouldn’t be passive. I would OFFER Mitchell and Allen, and make the best trade you can.

AND I would fire JBB.

Neither the roster nor the HC are anywhere near optimal.

Why would you trade allen? Unless joker, g8annus or someone comparable is coming back you will lose more value than you get

that is right in the middle of the whole playoff stretch ain't it? you know what doesn't make sense? keeping a less proven player who seems to be competing for the top turnover machine this season

No, you can't go around stating you're open to trading Mitchell, the value will be poor.

It'd be crazy to trade him for table scraps. He's still a great player, that has value, but teams are going to see how we monitor the situation. If we operate like we're desperate to deal him (tipping our hand we think he won't be back, or just don't want him that much), we aren't getting shit for him.

We aren't in position where we HAVE to deal him. Just we should be in complete listen mode, and if teams calls, make them think we are very unlikely to consider a trade, hence, their offers better be good, or don't call.

You don't trade him at all costs, by any means. No. But you definitely listen, without question.

Bruh, I'm stating one guy is here long-term, and one can walk, and has made no indication he's going to stay. That dictates the situation. Why would we trade Garland, and lose Mitchell too? We'd be screwed if that happen.

Garland is not shit, mate. He's been an all-star in this league, he signed a long-term contract with us. Mitchell hasn't... He has more value to us than Mitchell, because of that.

And at a fit stand point, I just think Garland fits with the rest of the team much better, too.

Who knows how much JBB is holding his growth back. We forget how good Garland was before Mitchell arrived, because he looked like one of the better young point guards in the league. Him and Mitchell, will never work IMO.
