2023-24 Season | Game #38 | Bulls @ Cavs | Jan. 15, 2024 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Don and JA should be our all-stars.

Cavs gave up a lead that had at one point been 20, only to win the game by 18.

Now those are the Cavalanche Cavs I remember.
The Cavs were lucky they were playing the Bulls. Shooting 20-57 from three against the Bucks, 76ers, Celtics or NY etc will cost you a win!

Went to my first game in about 6 years tonight. Had seats in the rafters high up in 203 but still a great view and great win! Observations from an extreme amature eye:

- Niang looks huge in person, like round and very slow. He got hot but I swear his shot felt like it was in slow motion

- Conversely Merrill shot looked quick and effortless, almost like just flicking his wrist

- Chicago missed a ton in the paint, Allen has to get credit for at least some of that but honestly watching live they were just bad

- Mitchell had a great game...there was one run were it felt like ISO take over was coming but then he started a little two man game with Levert who got hot for a minute

Not game related but being up so high behind the backboard you could tell as soon as the shot went up it is was going in or not...mainly when either team was shooting at the far rim but still pretty cool

Aged poorly.

I think Niang might be having a positive impact on Dean. Niang has made it clear he’s a shooter and he’ll keep shooting whether it goes in or not. Great to see Dean put them up late despite the cold start and knock them down. It’s the proper attitude.

Donovan told him to keep shooting and got it to him at the end. That was really great of him and good leadership from Don.

The key play was with 4:38 left and the Cavs up by 10. Still anybody's game. Mitchell drove the lane and kicked it out to Dean, who was 1-for-7 on 3's. Donovan could have easily taken it to the rim and probably scored or drew a foul, but he saw Wade was open and passed it. Wade hit the shot and the Cavs were up 13. Big play and Mitchell showed confidence in Wade despite his struggles.

Yeah it seemed like a backbreaker even when they hit a 3 the next possession

Also, shout out to JBB for also encouraging Wade to shoot.

Could be a breakthrough moment for Wade's shooting confidence moving forward.

Also we ran a pretty decent ATO to get Allen back involved I think in the third quarter(?) Then he got another quick bucket that was needed.

JBBummer is a slow learner but he is learning.

true, but a JBB team taking 57 threes is hilarious given what we're used to seeing.

Back in the day, before there was a 3-point line, 50% from the field was considered very good. What is the new bar for 2-point FGs, now that there is a 3-point line? 20 for 57 from 3 is equivalent to 30 for 57 from 2, which is almost 53%. How would we do if we never shot a 3 but made 53% of our 2-point shots?
