Going into today, Gimenez' career OPS was .747.

He has been worth 4.6 fWAR per 600 PAs.

Even in this so called off year, he is gonna have an fWAR of around 3.5.

In terms of fWAR, he is the second best 2B in the AL this year, behind Sieman.

I will gladly take that over the course of his contract.

that's what happens when a catcher tries to back hand/pick a ball in the dirt instead of blocking the ball....allows the runner to move up.. couple that with the walk, starting the runner.. ball not blocked allows the runner to go to 3B.. and comes home without the benefit of a hit..

It's catching like this.. that contributes to losing..

The two singles subsequent to the run scoring.. will "obscure" this deficiency..
