Pathetic hitting display..

I think I enjoy rooting for ex-Guards to showcase their continued development while we employ Calhoun, Laureano, Straw, Gallagher. There's just no room for our cast-off's while we bring on other team's cast-off's.

But lets carry on drinking the organization's water.

Should have been an error on Freeman.. he has to make that catch..

Nelson Velasquez had hit 16 HRs in only 46 games. That means over a 162 game season, he would hit allot of HRs.

Calhourn and Laureano have been serviceable. Straw not all that much and Gallagher just not at all.

Serviceable in-what should be their roles, problem is they are having much larger roles that I will nitpick.

Laureano is notably awful vs RHP, good vs LHP. Calhoun is a vet that does provide clubhouse leadership and became a 1B overnight which gained respect, okay fair enough, he should be relegated to 2 games a week + pinch hits ABs if opportunity presents itself. Laureano should also see LHP, and pinch hit ABs if the game calls for it. Gallagher should never see action unless emergency. Straw should get a jumpstart on coaching the OFs any way he can while parked on the bench.

These are exhibition games. Someone in AAA whether it be J-Rod, Valera, Noel, etc can use these meaningless games ABs as a cup of coffee going into next year. I don't give a shit if they'd go 0-50, experience is experience. There's nothing like live action.

They can't even give Freeman consistent time because of 4 useless names on the roster. But mainly Calhoun DH'ing throughout the week.

The key was Greinke holding us to two runs through 3.2 innings. Once they went to Zerpa it was all over because we weren't going to score against a lefty with a mostly left-handed batting order where the right-handed hitters included Straw and Gallegher.

Giolito didn't have it today but it doesn't matter since he won't be around next year. When the Guardians made errors on each of the first two batters you knew it wasn't going to be their day. Then Gio falls behind Velasquez 3-0 with two runners on and grooves a fastball. Just like that we're down three runs. Our starters have sucked in the first inning all year it seems.

Tena had a 390-foot double to left-center. I didn't realize he had that much power the other way.
