Sure enough - Isaiah Mobley signed the two-way contract, bringing the Cavs to a likely three two-ways:

I hope to see Isaiah make the jump this year into a role with the 15 man roster. We had such a great regular season as Cavs fans, we barely talked about Isaiah improving by leaps and bounds with the Charge. I know a lot of fans want Mo Bamba signed because of his length and three point range, but Mobley has a chance to be just as good this year.

Yeah Mobley has 2-3 other dimensions Bamba lacks. Maybe Bruising Jones is good enough if Mobley can join as well

My ONLY hesitation with Mobley being relied on is being 6'8" and neither very athletic, nor decently strong. As a Georges Niang understudy? Absolutely. As a switch-hitter to JA? He's just too small for my liking.

He does have a 7-3 wingspan. I think it could be an option for Jones to backup Allen in games with brusing bigs and more small ball type teams Isaiah can play those spot minutes. I think certain roles should be filled with matchup players. And for backup C I think Jones vs bigger bruising bigs works and Mobley for more small ball finesse bigs.

Bates *is* taller than (6'9") both Travers (6'7") and Mobley (6'8")...

Diop signed a new Euro deal and isn't quite ready. Jones is a big, athletic body that Luke Walton got some good production out of. He was basically free, so its a worthy gamble.

I have read Bates is 6' 10".. he is tall, but not as long as IMobley.. still for a summer league crew they have some decent size..

As for iMobley, it looks to me they have been working his flexibility. He showed a lot of balance and body control in that clip.. he is shorter than Evan, and so needs different skills, but I think he improved a lot last year. He has a range 3, and he has good passing vision..

Isaiah measures at 6'8"...Bates measured taller than 6'8" at the combine a few weeks ago. Unless the NBA has a conspiracy running, Bates is taller than the elder Mobley.

When I say iMobley is longer than bated, I am referring to his 7'3 wingspan compared to Moni Pennies t-rex arms.. both yes Bates is Taller..

Emoni doesn't have T-Rex arms, he has a slender upper body/shoulders and smallish hands which contributes to his smallish wingspan relative to his height (6'9"). His arm length itself seems to be fine.

His standing reach is within the neighborhood of many other wings throughout the league.
