#52 DeShone Kizer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
8 drops, 4 off pass penalties yet he still leads them to 28 pts! I think Sunday was Kizer's best game so far. He was very poised in the pocket and only took 1 sack. Turn 4 of those drops into completions and he's right at 60% with close to 300yds passing. Could have even resulted in a 5th TD. Sure he had a few bad throws but the misread on his 1 int might not have been his fault. Also 3-4 of his picks so far have been tipped balls so it's not like they've all been horrible throws. I think this kid is gonna be great he just needs help. Get a couple studs at WR and RB and things will look completely different.

His accuracy is at 54% with a ton of drops. Give him 4 more completions a game, and he is at 64%.

His ball placement has seemed pretty awful, regardless of whether or not the pass is ultimately completed... he just flat out hasn't shown great touch, which I think could be legitimately worrisome if it keeps up all year. But in year one, 3 games in... certainly not in panic mode over it.

Not sure what Kizer you guys are watching but his ball placement is far from awful. He is having trouble progressing through his reads quickly but when his first read has a chance to make a play, he's fitting the ball into some pretty remarkably tight spaces.

1:00, 1:20, 1:50, all in the first half - all great touch passes. Who has made those throws in a Browns uni recently?

I would say I'm pleased with Kizer so far. His one bad game in my eyes was the Ravens game, but I would guess the migraine plays a significant role in that. He does miss on a few throws but I think every QB misses on a few throws a game. He makes some great throws, can make all the throws, and also has the ability to make plays with his feet. He seemed to start getting rid of the ball quicker after the beginning of last game.

Two things I didn't like about him coming out of college was his accuracy and his turnovers. I'm not as concerned about his accuracy anymore, but would like to see him cut down on the interceptions. You would hope that would improve as he continues to adjust to the pro game. We're 3 games into the season and he has nearly double the interceptions as the next closest QB. Yikes! Though the one to end the game was a joke as it was in desperation. I think I'd credit the Britt INT to him even though ya'll love to hate on Britt. Its tough to adjust to a pass like that while running a slant. The Kasen one I don't know.

I think people just have a tough time taking the good with the bad, especially with QB's.

Kizer has shown a ton of potential....I'd argue more than any QB the Browns have had since the return. He's the first QB I have seen that fans should ACTUALLY be patient with.

DK has the ability to make throws that only the upper echelon arm strength guys can. His flaws are fixable to me and many of them would be alleviated by better skill talent around him. A true #1 WR would do wonders for him.

Kizer isn't perfect but I suspect we'll see marked improvement as the year goes on. It has sucked being a Browns fans but there's a lot of exciting young talent on this team. A lot of mistakes to go around for sure but for the first time since I can remember there are young guys who actually appear to be NFL players.

He definitely has the ability to fit throws into tight spaces. I'm more concerned with his touch on intermediate routes and deep balls. The overthrows and and ball placement on crossing routes have not been good, in my uneducated opinion... That's different than thinking he sucks.

I understand your point. I just think as much as Kizer may be to blame for his inaccuracy, the players he's throwing too aren't NFL starting caliber either. That isn't going to change from game to game. God willing it will from season to season.

The narrative that Kizer is the one putting us in bad spots when he's up to this point, proven to be a 4th quarter gamer, isn't logical. Our coaching staff has put A LOT on Kizer's plate, which tells me that he possesses the cerebral ability to be very good one day. I just want us to preach patience with him because he isn't being helped by the void of playmakers on our offense, which is striking when compared to almost every other team in the league.

I really think he has been decent on crossing routes. The amount of drops on crossing routes is inexcusable and he would look much better if they could catch the ball.

I watched all of Kizers throws from Indy a few times. i counted 5 over throws and about the same amount of bad decisions.

The over throws happen, even Tom Brady over throws. The bad decisions dont happen with great QB's, but rookies ofcourse.

As for the 8 drops, inexcusable. I just see a ton of potential with Kizer, a ton, and nothing i have witnessed makes me think he wont improve a ton in 2 years or so when he has experience.

I saw a clip of him being interviewed.

He looked like a veteran that just witnessed something horrific. I am not saying that in a disrespectful to vets, but that's the most accurate comparison.

You're going to have to bench him. Not because of his play, but because if you see any potential in this guy? You owe it to him to not destroy his confidence.

Make up some sort of injury and put him on IR. Have Hogan and Kessler play...then just call it a day. This team isn't going anywhere this year may as well not destroy this guy.

F that. We're playing the damn Jets next week.

He was well on his way to having a good game and then the Britt drop happened.

That drop killed EVERYONE. Sent this team into a spiral.
