Name how many receivers on this team that would make another NFL roster that has played (aka not josh Gordon).
Britt and Coleman would have been locks to make other rosters. Louis would probably be borderline.
Devalve and Njoku if you count tight ends.
It doesn't make sense to say "great qb play elevates the play of wide receivers" and then cite Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Of course they do. They turn mediocre guys into reliable threats, and good guys into fantasy studs. It doesn't just stop there, because when you pair them with truly great receivers, (e.g. Brady with Moss) you get something truly transcendent.
The point is how do you enable guys who are NOT all time greats like Brady and Rodgers to succeed? The idea that Kizer was going to elevate the games of Ricardo Louis and Rashard Higgins was a fantasy. Wentz has come into his own in year 2 and is now doing that sort of thing. But Kizer in year 1? He needed help in one form or another (reliable targets or a killer run game) and didn't get it. And he's looked awful.
