#52 DeShone Kizer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seriously?

"If Kizer didn't do the things bad quarterbacks do, he wouldn't be bad!"
Hater. Get off his ass. You didn't bother to read everything I posted, did you?

I get it. The kid shouldn't have even started his first game yet but you expect him to play like a seasoned vet. You must have this thread set up to notify you whenever anyone says anything remotely positive about Kizer so you can jump on it. Is he screwing your sister or something?

Like i said in a different thread, some people would rather see failure and be miserable than see success and be proven wrong.

I hope he gets to play out the season. I have a feeling Hue will pull him at some point in the next three weeks based on what we have seen so far. Maybe Coleman will help improve the Wr position, but that is yet to be seen.

Bottom line is if you feel strongly that Donald and or Rosen are future top 12 qbs you can’t afford to pass them up in the hope that Kizer is able to see the field better , anticipate throws and put touch on the ball. Not giving up on him, but he has yet to show us enough that we don’t have to draft a qb. Let’s see what the next two months bring.

Darnold has made it known he doesn't want to come here.

Let’s see who is running the organization in the spring and what happens in April. A lot things said in the fall are forgotten by March. There was a story last year that Quinn was going to talk Kizer out of signing with the Browns in September last year. Wether it is Rosen Darnold Cousins or someone else, who ever is in charge will try to address qb quickly most likely.

This.

The season is shot. Nothing to play for but pride and player development, and to see what we have with the current roster.

Why write Kizer off as someone who has zero chance to improve at this stage of the season? There is nothing to be gained by doing that, and only positive can come from working on his development for the rest of the season.

Yeah... you just can't.

You are myopic beyond belief.

I'm myopic because I'm pointing out the fact that the starting QB of the Browns has been historically bad? Even though the evidence clearly backs that fact up?

There's no way to spin it positively other than MAYBE Kizer's age, which is stretching it.

Tim Couch played for one of the least talented teams in NFL history in 1999 and wasn't this bad. David Carr got sacked SEVENTY SIX TIMES in his rookie year in 2002 and wasn't this bad.

Kizer's processing speed is significantly too slow and his accuracy when he does make the right read simply isn't good enough. Blame the WRs, RBs, TEs and OL all you want, but Kizer's doing all same the things that made him a sub-60% passer in college, only against bigger and faster defenders.

Kizer's completion % in college was 61% in 2 years. Exactly same as Josh Rosen. A young QB is going to miss open WR's, he's going to make late bad throws. Not only does he have shit receivers they also can't catch the ball. Take away half the drops and he's around 60%. Add in a few balls caught each game that your 2 stud receivers made great plays on and it's at 63-65%. Can you at least acknowledge that his receivers are crap and that Ricardo Louis would struggle on a lot of teams as their 2nd or 3rd best?

This is the worst group of receivers I've ever seen (with Coleman hurt).

And, no, I can't imagine Ricardo Louis as a 2nd or 3rd option on another team because I don't think he would make any other team.

I think as Browns fans, having not seen really good QB play around here in such a long time, we tend to lose sight of the fact that a good QB elevates the play of the people around him. There have been some good quarterbacks that have been productive without great receivers around them. Tom Brady hasn't always had the best receivers in the world to throw to, for example. You can somewhat minimize a quarterback's deficiencies with enough "weapons" but a QB who is inaccurate and makes poor decisions is still going to be those things even with better targets, whereas a good QB is going to make fairly pedestrian targets look better than they actually are.

This is a laughable, manufactured analysis with no basis in fact, whatsoever.

You just managed to increase his completion percentage by 13 points... If he just had better receivers.

Amazing.
