Kyrie + Beal will be one of the best backcourts for (hopefully) the next decade
Not to push this even farther in to fantasy-land, but what if Portland is still super high on Beal - and this was all just a round about way to end up with them getting Beal at #2, the Bobcats get TRob/Barnes at #4, and when the smoke clears we get whoever it is we actually wanted all along at 6 and 11?
Danny Ferry was never afraid of trying to pull off some really complicated deals just to try to placate the interests of the other GMs.
Edit... I can't read
Probable draft order would be something like
1. Davis
2. Beal
3. MKG/Barnes
4. Trob
5. Barnes/MKG (Unless Barnes not working out for them moves them to Drummond...or *snicker* Henson
So I hope the Cavs like Drummond enough
You are correct, but Alonzo Gee shouldn't determine who we draft. (Not sure if you are saying that or not)
Giving away the 24th is a no-brainer to me. Especially since the Cavs are likely to package both second round picks for a late first anyways.
If Beal is their guy, then do it.
Beal would make a bunch of sense over MKG if Lequit is going to slink back home in 2014............depending on Gilbert.
I know SG is a hole for the team right now, but it's generally one of the easier positions on a team to fill.
