I'm not sure what this guy brings to the table. He doesn't spread the floor. He doesn't play lock down defense. He doesn't rebound. He can't pass. He has no upside. He's just a warm body to fill out the starting 5. I mean wtf. Even people who are not coaches don't see why this guy is even starting. At least if you put Bennett or Karasev out there, they'll take their lumps but in the long term, they'll develop and we can see what kind of players they might become. With Gee, it's like black hole eating away minutes. So fucking frustrating.

here's a question: is there a worse starting wing duo than Miles and Gee? i couldn't come up with one league wide now i'm expanding it to NBA history and i still have trouble....

here are their stats (as starters):
Miles (12 games): 6.5 PPG/35% FG%/33% 3PT%,
Gee (16 games): 4.1 PPG/40% FG%/30% 3PT%

Karasev over Gee please, they will both give pretty bad defense, but at least Karasev will score the damn ball.

Karasev please. Who cares if he isnt physically ready? Alonzo Gee isnt ready either. Or start Delly and just do the 3 guard thing the whole game. Dude is the worst starting SF in the league and its not close. Hes below average in literally every aspect of the game.

Gee sucks, rather see Karasev and Bennett get minutes at the 3. If Bennett was playing the same way that Gee was he wouldn't get off the damn bench, Gee isn't producing and it's time a change is made.

Gee is so bad I was drooling thinking about how nice it would be to have a guy like Mike Dunleavy as your starting small forward.

I hate to say it, but I want to trade Andy for any sf right now. He's one of my favorite cavs, but he's redundant with TT and a valuable trade piece. Trade him for a small forward before he gets injured again!

It's literally like playing a 4 on 5. He's doing absolutely nothing on offense and he's regressed defensively. He has scored ZERO points in 4 of the last 8 games!! He is absolutely killing us.

Mike loves running 3 guard rotations where the tallest of the 3 is 6'4". Why the hell can't Karasev start at the 3 then? He's 6'8". He can't be any worse that what we are getting from Gee. He would spread the floor more since he is a legitimate outside threat. He's also an excellent passer...he actually knows how to make entry passes too.

If i see Gee start much longer i swear i'm going to cry. He's physically gifted...but he should have played football. He's getting steadily worse at basketball the more he plays. I can't take much more. When's the last time a starting SF in the NBA went scoreless 4 times in 8 games. That's unheard of!!!

Grant was going for the home run by not committing space to a so-so caliber player and was hoping a big time trade would materialize. I get it. But with 20/20 hindsight id really like to have just paid for Kyle Korver. Of course, if a big trade does pop up and that contract would have limited our ability to pursue it, Grant would have looked stupid.

THIS

He's physically gifted but it doesn't translate to basketball at all. He's not skillful at anything basketball , You think he would be a menace on the defense end, Passing lanes, On the break with his athletic ability , SOMETHING. But no... He's invisible on the court

Gee really is basically worthless. He's ok for a 13th-15th guy to have in practice as an athletic body. But the fact that he is starting for us is laughable. I hope it changes soon.
