Andre Iguodala on the market?

True, but I don't see a team willing to give up that much talent for him.

Iggy + another one of their talented players >>>>> Butler + garbage.

I can see a team giving up a good player in their mid-late 20's + a mediocre player to get McGrady, but not 2 young, talented players like they're asking from Philly.

To me, it sounds like the Rockets are just trying to gut the Sixers without having to take back Sam/Brand, but if a team were willing to take one of those guys I'd bet they'd be able to get Andre as well.

I think it could be kind of stupid anyway for Houston to get rid of T Macs contract to be tied down to a long contract, with a guy who is similar to a player they already have. Kind of defeats the purpose. That doesn't seem like the smartest move. Like said above, haven't they figured out he isn't a number one option. AI plays alot like Trevor Ariza. I couldn't see those to playing together well at all (mainly Trevor jeapordizig it). There should be better options for the Rockets. Sixers would be plain stupid to give up another couple young pieces along with AI2. You aren't gonna get that for T Mac.

Hmmmm... when I start thinking about their big contracts I find it impossible to make a deal work for Iggy that doesn't involve Shaq. Anyone have something I may be missing here?

Wally S&T or another team getting involved.

How about instead of a Z buyout, we trade Shaq to a team that buys him out and allows him to return to Cleveland?

I've thought of that......I have no idea what the likelihood of that is.

Well, his contract is double the size(makes a buyout more difficult).

He really has no loyalty to Cleveland, so what makes him want to come back here?

What if L.A. offers him the veteran minimum and he takes it(there are rumors that he's wanted to go back to L.A. ever since the day Miami traded him)? We pretty much instantly screw our championship hopes.

Shaq isn't going to be traded.

I still have no idea why Philly would trade Iguadola for cap space. I can go along with the fact that Iggy isn't a franchise player and Philly has a hard time justifying his pay rate, but as someone said he's an awesome 2nd option. I would imagine he has a lot of value around the league and to trade him for T-Mac's expiring deal makes no sense to me. If you are going to trade him, than you trade him to a contender who sends you young talent and/or picks with cap relief. However, given that they have Speights, I doubt they have a need for an althetic PF, AKA JJ Hickson.

like it's written in that article they want to get rid of those huge contracts (dalembert&brand) nad nobody takes them unless they offer something of value (iggy) with it

I think we are only going to get AI2 in my dreams.

If we got Iggy, then Lebron would slide over to power forward which I think would make us unguardable. And Brand would give us a good defensive big off the bench to soften the blow of losing Z.

We didn't net someone so old and washed up yet still servicable like VC. What makes you people think we can get AI2? Just saying there are more better suitors for this dude. I love to have him on the squad but this ain't just happening. Bump this thing up if I need to eat some delicious roasted crow.

I see no reason why Philly would want to keep Z with Dally still there. They could either take 3 million from us and buyout the other 2.5-3 million or they can get no cash from us and pay him 6 million to sit on the bench. Considering they are making moves to dump salary taking cash from us and dumping Z is very logical. Your lineup would be good against small teams with Andy at C but I see iggy sliding over to sg which he has played multiple times in his career and having the lineup of mo/iggy/lbj/brand/shaq. We could literally outmuscle every team in the league with that lineup and still be able to spread the floor with mo, lbj, and a not wonderful but respectable 3p threat from iggy.

We need to be thinking of three team deals here IMO, it seems very unlikely we could put together the best package to get Iggy unless all they want is cap space and a backup G (West). Hickson is a crap shoot at this point, and i'm sure that every single GM knows that.

I still want to get Iggy, but i'd much rather Bosh if he was available.
