Andre Iguodala on the market?

And this whole scenario could've been avoided if Philly would've just drafted Luke Jackson with the 9th pick and left Iggy for us. Bastards.

If were looking at a 3-team deal, why not try to involve Sacremento?

There was already a proposed Kenny Thomas/Dalembert swap. Maybe we can absorb a bad contract(Noce, Brand), get Iggy, and have the Thomas/Dalembert deal go through.

We would probably have to send Delonte to the Kings but we could get Sergio in return to be a backup 1.

I Don't get all the fascination with iggy. He does do a bit of everything, and plays good defense, but his shooting has always been extremely mediocre, and he needs the ball in his hands a lot to be effective. I honestly think Mo is a more reliable complimentary scorer than iguodala.

But mo can't and doesn't play defense like Iggy can. an AV, Lebron, Iggy lineup would have 3 elite defenders in it.

Still a pipedream. He would have to take on garbage deals to get him, and at this point, I doubt philly trades him without an all-star level talent in return

+ Cash & a pick?

Mo [34] / West [14]
Iggy [24] / Parker [12] / West [12]
LeBron [36] / Iggy [10] / Parker [2]
Brand [28] / Varejao [20]
Shaq [21] / Z [21] / Varejao [6]

Pipe dream

The talent upgrade is undeniable, but im hesitant really to change our team so much especially after how well we've been performing.

Couldnt you say the same thing about Scottie when he played? Iggy would be another playmaker on the floor with Mo and Lebron to make our offense run smoother.

We wouldn't be asking AI2 to run our offense or average as many points as in Philly. We just need him to be the extremely talented wing player that he is.

The problem is that Iggy can't shoot very well. I worry about spacing issues with him on the floor with LeBron.

It would probably look a good bit like West with LeBron lately, he just doesn't want to take jumpers anymore.

We get better floor spacing with Brand on the floor rather than our other PF's, it evens our, Also, as Iggy is a number 1 in philly, here he'd be a #2 or 3 at times, very likely he'll start getting easier shots, OR, lebron will, again evening out.

We could run a lineup of Mo / Parker / Iggy / Lebron / Z out there, hows that for floor spacing?

TY! Have you been watching AI develop as a player the last several years? His shooting stroke has made progress in the same way LeBron's has. Neither are perfect, but you can guess that AI will continue to get better with it.

He takes too many, that's a problem you'll live with as that will continue to open up the inside if he can continue to make some.

Here's the stats you'll find for AI2:

41% on jump shots. For 69% of his shot attempts to be that, his jumper is more than reliable.

It's the 40% on close shots that he should be doing better with. But there's no doubt that playing with LeBron, Mo, and Shaq will open everything up. He was better last year, so it's about what he's doing inside that's hurt him, that's all.

Who gives a shit about Iggy's shooting anyways. People spend all this time worrying about people's shooting and spacing when in all reality this team is already first in the league in 3pt shooting.

The Cavs have plenty of outside shooters and guys with good perimeter jump-shots. What they need is someone besides LeBron who can consistently take it to the hole, play defense and hit a few mid-range shots here and there. Mo does only one of those things consistently.

Not only that, but Iguodala has all-world talent and athleticism. He's literally among the top 10 athletes in the league, I'd say.

Stop wasting time worrying about how good of a "shooter" a guy is. Mo is a shooter, AP is a shooter, Boobie is a shooter. LeBron, Z and usually Delonte can all shoot outside as well. Not to mention, 33% from three isn't horrible and it's enough to force defenses to rotate out onto Iggy, which is already enough on it's own. The Cavs use Mo and their role players to space the floor, what they need is another guy that can get buckets going to the rack or from the post.

Totally agree....Iggy on single coverage is a nightmare for opposing defenses to cope with. We've seen how delonte has found his way to the basket more this year, Iggy will do that, while providing mike brown with the wing defender of his dreams.

I seriously think if this deal went down, mike brown might sponsaneously combust with excitement!

So is there any possibility of this happening or is this just a pipedream. I'd love to get Iguodala, but I'd hate to let go of Hickson

Pipedream. No chance the cavs end up with iguodala.
