Browns rant thread.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We dont know the whole story on Pryor to be honest, he took a million less to play in washington supposedly than what we offered.

That said, if a mistake was made by our F/O, I hope they learn from it.

And did I mention how much our receiving core sucks?
Yeah..that Pryor is really lighting it up. Britt has 5 receptions on 15 targets for 69 yards and a TD. Pryor has 10 receptions on 19 targets for 116 yards and 0 TDs. He had a whole 2 receptions for 19 yards last night. Nothing about that performance "looks good".

Britt needs to play better, and did play better yesterday. Lets hope he can continue to get it together. But lets not act like the Browns fucked up somehow by not overpaying for somebody who is performing marginally better than Britt thus far.

I also don't believe Pryor wanted to be here.

Thank you for that.

I saw about 50% of the Washington game yesterday and looked good from what I saw, but the above numbers does make me feel much, much better.

And I do agree he didnt want to be here.

I didn't mean to call you out.......I'm just so damn tired of the narrative that they f'ed up with TP. Especially with the media and the typical snarky douchebags like Jackson and Axelrod.

I have been severely let down by the WR play. I'm not sure what happened to Kenny Britt, unless the contract year was real for him. He looked like a bonafide starting WR in a Jeff Fisher offense, that's insane that he's regressed that much.

I think the rants are valid. It's been stated in this thread multiple times so I won't get too long winded but we see flashes from individual players but the team can't seem to put it together. Hell, with a few lucky bounces we're just as likely to be 3-0 compared to 0-3.

I truly believe that's why most of us are frustrated. We see the talent for the first time in a long time and we want those Ws now. Sacajawea Brown and Co have really started to set the Browns up with some real talent. I want these Ws as much as any other fan but for now we'll have to take solace in individual performances (cue disappointing Price is Right music here). Hopefully Garrett and Collins come back this weak and the Browns start wreaking havoc on these perceived bad teams on their slate over the next few weeks.

You didnt call me out for anything but factual numbers.

I dont know how far apart they were, I dont know if any reasonable number would have solved it. If it was over $1 mill, then they messed up, but not as bad as I thought looking at the above.

But man do our receivers drop allot of balls, Kizer has played his heart out for a rookie and getting zero help from the receivers.

On a positive note, Duke Johnson is a freaking stud!

That's what frustrates me.

I see parts here. I see a QB that is young but seems to want to get better...and I see a coaching staff that seems to understand the type of plays a modern NFL team should be running.

I also see flashes of talent all around the ball save for two very important areas. The secondary and the receiving corps.

I don't want to see Kizer go down the path I've seen other teams go down. I like him, and I want him to be a successful QB for us.

I don't want to blow this thing up. I'm just hoping we can win a few games so that we're not having the conversation about a coaching search...

Can confirm Pryor has been dog shit so far for Washington. With his play and body language.

Draft Sashimi Barkley and make Duke a slot receiver a la Metcalf. Kill at least part of the receiver problem.

Pryor took 26.5M less.

Browns offered Pryor the exact same 4 year, 32.5M deal they ended up giving to Britt. Pryor thought he'd get more on the open market, so he turned it down and opted for free agency.

Obviously that money wasn't out there for him and he ended up signing 1 year, 6M.

The Browns have done tons of things wrong over the years, but I'm not killing them for the Pryor thing.

Yeah, thus far, Pryor has basically been just a guy in Washington. Not saying he can't or won't improve, but he's not exactly lighting it up there through three games. If Doctson can actually stop being a pussy and stop missing time for minor ailments, I think he could easily take the role of the top WR in Washington.

Pryor was one of the few bright spots last year but when teams focused in on him, he looked pretty pedestrian. For every 100+ yard game he had, there's a 32 yard game, an 18 yard game. He's not an elite WR and that's why he wasn't paid like one.
