I just hope if Melo does get moved, the Cavs can be a third team in the deal and add a big and PG.
Is that a joke?Why the hell would the Knicks accept that deal from the Cavs? They could do better from the Clippers with a Rivers and Crawford package with picks included.
Sure you could get a pick.Why the hell would we agree to that? I'd like to think we could at least snag a first round pick for Melo.
That could definitely fuck things up...if Melo is even willing to go there, that is.I'm hoping Boston makes a move for Melo
@gourimoko
Choose 1 scenario of the following:
- Trading Shump/Frye/RJ/Osman for Melo
- signing Wade after he is bought out

not sure if serious? Obviously the 2nd one...we would be the deepest team in the entire league. the whole problem with going after Melo is that he has such a large contract that we basically would have to give up our entire depth to get him (and even then it's tough to make it work contract wise)
also how realistic is it that Wade gets bought out? i don't see that happening to be honest
If we were to get 'Melo. Hypothetically. I think they'd you would have to trade Love.
How else would it work? I just don't see how. The only key to having 'Melo is going smaller/quicker in the front line.
I think you'd have to trade Kevin Love then. Not for 'Melo, because that would be a joke.
Either way, I have no interest at all.
If 'Melo is so serious about wanting to win. Why don't he start to work on a buyout agreement with Jackson then.
He's got 2 and a half years left on a huge deal...If 'Melo is so serious about wanting to win. Why don't he start to work on a buyout agreement with Jackson then.
Damn it AC do you want to beat the Warriors or not?!?!? Someone is going to have to sacrifice here lol
He has more money and years left on his deal. Don't think a buyout is feasible. But the implication of your post is one hundred percent accurate - Melo has not demonstrated that he values winning above making money in NYC (or else he wouldn't have forced a trade to NY when he could have come as a free agent the year after with a better team around him or re-signed in NYC when there were better options around him).
