Carter Almost A Cavalier?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Carter was almost a Cav?

I really hope not. This isn't the same guy that jumped over, through and on top of Fredrick Weis. This is the guy who is so apt to shoot jump shots, their PA announcer has a catchy catchphrase he shouts every time he hits a three pointer.

Same guy, older.

Carter took 273 3's.. Is that a lot? Hell yeah but LeBron took 352... almost 100 more.

Re: Carter was almost a Cav?

Maybe it's because he can hit those shots? I doubt you'll see a 30 year old player that's had the injuries he's had clowning on guys. It's called aging..happens to everyone...Dominique eventually couldn't windmill through traffic anymore at some point.

That was a VC THREE!!!!!

It's not just aging, it's aging in dog years. He will look really bad 2 years from now. I couldn't figure out what the hell the Nets were thinking when they extended him last summer.

these are carters shooting stats

21% of his shots were 3s (hit those @ 36% rate) 45 % of his shots were 2 pt jump shots(hit those @ a 43% rate) and 32% were inside(hit those @ a 56% rate).

Honestly, he still moves pretty well... Combine that with his stats and games played and it seems like he's aging quite well...

I think Ferry needs to re-visit this and sweeten the deal a bit. I think VC being a #2 next to LeBron would rejuvenate him. I don't see how they would keep him when they dealt off Jefferson and Kidd already.

They're going younger and looking to cut costs...

Just send me the highlight tape.:fingersx:

You mean, like one of these?

Ben told me to tell you that the video quality is absolutely atrocious..he'll have a better one up shortly.

I think alot of folks are getting real desperate (like me) reaching out and forcing themselves to believe alot of wash's like Carter can really help contribute to the Cavs.

I wasn't impressed by him at all when he had all-stars like Kidd and Jefferson and I don't see him being much a factor next to Lebron. What I do see him being is exactly what Wally was...... a bust

So a player who has averaged 20+ ppg in 9/11 years in the league will come to Cleveland and shoot below 40% and average less than 10ppg. Carter would be a great addition to the Cavs. He seems to be one of the most realistic options.

I actually found that video for download... but the quality is still suspect.

I don't know why everyone is doubting Vince, yes he's getting older but him not being the#1 option and maybe some pressure being taken off him could be perfect for him.

How could you not want this guy. Could you imagine him and Bron on fastbreaks.
