Cavs Summer League Team

I want Okoro to handle the ball in summer league. Get some reps in.

Very excited to see Thomas, Windler, Kabebgele and Mobley most of all.

Vaudrin seems kind of cool. I like his passing and I could see him as a backup PG

I know an unhealthy amount about him from watching Sengun. Kinda like a skinny Alex Caruso? Deceptively athletic combo guard who can do a bit of everything. Much closer to getting backup PG minutes in the NBA than Vaudrin, IMO.

I would bring him to our summer league team and see how he works with Mobley. 6'11 and has 3pt range, I'd rather have him be our 5th or 6th big than another PF size player who is questionable from 3. Maybe put him on a two way contract if we decide we like him.

Koby definitely has an obsession with guards...

Chris Grant really only stuck to guards and bigs. I think they are easier to evaluate.

I really hope we give Jock Landale a spot. He dominated the NBL finals and is now doing well at the Olympics. He also did really well in Summer league for the Bucks 2 years ago. Doesn't really fit a need though asa big man who can space floor.

I read somewhere (will see if I can find it for confirmation if folks need it) that it'll be a few days before Summer League before the Cavaliers, at least, release their roster.

When Isaac Okoro averages 18 per game on this team, I’m going to get irrationally excited and use it to justify his breakout season.

It’s inevitable.

I think James Banks III was Jarrett Allens backup at Texas. Hands was a top recruit coming out of HS. Whole lot of meh outside of Mobley, Okoro, Stevens and Kabengele.

Things I want to see in SL: 1. Has Okoro expanded his game enough to dominate at this level. 2. Has Stevens developed an outside shot to go with his outstanding defense? 3. Can Mobley do the things that could mean future greatness?

I think Wade not on the SL roster is a reflection on how much they like him. They are treating him like a secure vet, not a “prove it to me” rookie or free agent.
