Take that back. Any combo of Kidd/Miller/Jones/Barnes and Beal/Rivers/Lamb. I think we trade our new pick plus Andy to net a second lotto pick.

With all the picks and filler assets we have, my goal (hope it's the FO's goal too) is to get that 2nd lotto pick (even if it's 2013) without using Andy. If we do have to use him, it better be a no-brainer deal to get a very, very high pick. After the lottery, before the draft will be very telling...

Looking at the teams in the lotto, and the assets we have aqcuired I think it is possible for us to move up in the lotto. Portland just aqcuired a second high pick, depending on where it lands (imo with Wallace the Nets will go 12-10 the rest of the year, which would make their final record 27-39, good enough for the 8-9 seed) we may be able to move Andy to them for the lower of their two picks. Something like Andy + Lakers pick, plus NOH 2nd rounder. It could be a straight "Salary dump" on our part because they will be under the cap. I guess the question is will they have a shot at a better FA than Andy? Andy could help them make the playoffs next season more than a lotto pick, plus they would still have one.

I'd just go straight up Andy for one of their lotto picks with fillers. He's worth it, IMO. If push came to shove, I'd still probably do that trade with those two extra picks included, but I'd feel like we got fleeced for two extra picks. Varejao plays some of the best winning basketball in the world. He's the ultimate intangibles guy on a championship team. I hope we trade him, but we need to be shooting for decent value in return.
 
The Cavaliers got Kapono & Walton to help push them from fringe playoff contender to Eastern Conference power....look out! ;)
For the record, whether it's by accident or design, the Cavaliers are officially the 'whitest team in the league' now. We can send out Parker (1/2 Jewish), Kapono, Casspi, Harangody, & Varejao (1/2 white), and still bring Walton & Erden off the bench. Say it with me....CHAMPIONSHIP!

Only on this forum do people think that Andy is worth a top 10 pick by himself. With that said And is certainly worth a lotto pick, depending on the position, but not one in the 7-9 range. The Lakers pick, and second are just a way for us to secure the trade. Also knowing Grant he'll get the rights for us to switch picks with Portland in the 2013 draft lol.
