Neither Walton nor Kapono could get minutes for a team with one of the weakest benches in the NBA.
so the Cavs just paid $6M for a late 1st when they are usually sold for $3M. lol.
jamison is still wearing a cavs uniform. lol.
nets traded a lottery pick for gerald wallace. lol.
nuggets traded an overpaid nene for a retard who will also be overpaid. lol.
howard decided to spend another year of his prime in orl where he has almost no chance to win a title. lol.
lotsa laughing about deals today
eta: forgot one!
clips traded for another chucker when they sorely need defense. lol.
Would love to pick up Oden. Medium risk, massive reward. Unfortunately I bet it would take MLE money. But if we have the ability to....why not?
Is it just me but did the lack of capitalization and six uses of the phrase "lol" fit in with this well thought post?

EDIT: You're just the type of poster who finds bad in everything that happens. If the Cavs were to ahve traded Sessions for Westbrook straight up, I can almost guarantee you'd be killing the Cavs for trading for that selfish, team destroying, ninja-turtle.
You guys feeling a move up in the draft, involving Varejao and the Lakers pick maybe?

Sw33tlou and Triumph are here to play a role... they show up when there are major transactions and blast the Cavs, look at everything as a glass half-empty, never say what they WOULD do in the moment yet only talk about how great they would have been in hindsight. When it's time to talk about the actual Cavs games and play of the team, they disappear. It's a vital role around here.
The deal was proposed by the Cavs over a month ago and the Lakers sat on it, not the other way around. People who are looking too closely at Luke Walton and his playing ability are missing the point entirely... he is essentially retired. He was included to get the numbers with Sessions to match up. His contract becomes an expiring this offseason. Since the Lakers build through free agency and are over the luxury tax, they needed that cap room sooner than later. They also seem interested in Eyenga's youth and athleticism... Lord knows they don't have any of that on the end of their bench anymore.
Kapono was out of the rotation in LA, but will get a chance to play a little in the next month for the Cavs. It's a nice opportunity for Kapono to show what he can do, and it gets Casspi's minutes down.
Meanwhile, the Cavs don't have to rely on signing free agents, which usually takes inflated offers and still tends to put them behind contenders offering less money. They can continue to trade expirings for picks into the 2013 season. Eventually they will surround Irving with a young core his own age... which Pax and Ferry were incapable of doing with LeBron. Because Pax moved picks for veterans, LBJ was always playing with guys at the end of their careers.
We have a shot at a real core this time around. It will just take some time and smart pre-draft scouting.
