Championship Parade/Rally

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm coming in from I-71, I live down near Ashland. My plan A is to reserve some airport parking and take the RTA from Hopkins to downtown. Does anyone have any better suggestions or ideas?

Park and Ride at the Turnpike and I71?

Driving in tonight from Chicago and staying at a friend's in Tremont. It's gonna be a long walk, but so worth it! Probably head up around 7am. Any bar suggestions in area of the stage?

I just checked and all my usual cheaper spots are sold out (I've flown out of Hopkins more than a few times). But Park & Fly apparently still has reservations available.

Logistics just seem impossible on this with the number of people. I can't imagine how debilitating travel will be. The traffic is a nightmare when 20,000 people are going to a game.

I'd like to see the parade but I attended the games, so that's probably enough. I'll watch on TV and be jealous.

The idea of taking the RTA sounds good until you got to take it back after the parade. If you think you can get an Uber or something out of the city afterwards, then it'd probably a great idea to park at the airport and do that. But I can't imagine what the rapid will be like when this thing ends and all those people are ready to leave. Going to be absolutely nuts.

what time are you guys heading up? i was thinking of getting there around 7 am?

I might sleep in my car in parking garage.

Edit: I'm serious about that. I can't even imagine the traffic tomorrow.

Not sure what Uber is like in Cleveland, but in Chicago after something like this, wouldn't be surprise to see surcharges at 7x.

1 million expected at the parade. Not sure how downtown Cleveland will fit all of us.

All hotels have been sold out in downtown Cleveland already.

Lol every option will be packed. Uber will hit a ridiculous surge- probably highest ever. I'm going down for the parade and just hanging out afterward until the baseball game.

I agree. I think most people will be spending their time in a giant never-moving traffic jam while the parade is going on. I want to go down there, but have no idea how it'll be even possible.

Coming from Columbus, all my Cleveland peeps are telling me to come tonight, which may not be a possibility. They then said to get into town no later than 7 AM if i leave in the morning. Wish i knew what to expect but this is unprecedented. Last thing i want is to be sitting on the highway all day stuck in traffic...

We're all screwed and probably won't even get to see the actual parade. Ah, well. Can't miss it. haha.
