Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Now that the deadline is past, what are the odds we kick the tires on Kaepernick? Also, I'm sorry for bringing this up.

I'd imagine our owner agreed to blackball him just like all the others.

I'd be down with it, though. He'd easily be the best QB on the roster. He's not great or anything, but he's better than any QB we've had in a decade.

Kind of like the Ravens owner?

Never forget the game Kaepernick played in snowy Chicago.

Lost in all the Kaepernick support for social reasons is the fact that:

A. He lost his job twice due to having terrible touch on passes and terrible vision of the field.

B. He has small hands and can't throw in snowy cold climates.
Throwing this out there....

Anyone else have an issue with Kaepernick waiting till he was close to being cut before he did the whole protest deal? Kinda like he was doing some damage control for his career?

That reason, besides my opinion that he would bring more to this media circus, I don't feel like his talent for this team as constructed would be ideal for him or us.

Kap started protesting in the preseason last year. Marshawn Lynch has ben sitting for the anthem for years. This had nothing to do with him being cut. DEN had a trade done for Kap for a 4th round pick if he would've agreed to reduce his salary to $7M. He said no. It's never been about the money.

I'm implying more towards the sentiment that Kaepernick was on the verge of being cut from the 9ers (media rumblings and my wife is a 9ers fan so I tried to keep current on her team a bit) if the trade fell through. Nothing factual on my part, just what I saw and could imply. His timing just seemed weird with it, if that makes sense.

Well I'll be looking forward to seeing Kizer throw to Gordon and presumably Coleman as well for a few games to close out the year.

Probably wrong thread, but if Grodon comes back for us, do we make room by cutting Britt?

It won’t be Britt but one of the guys at the end of the roster. Britt will likely be here to finish the season, but possibly traded or cut in the offseason if he keeps up the production he has had this season

I dont agree, i think he has been a net negative, Hearing bad attitude too, why else was he held out a game.

Not sure if he is guranteed money, but Britt was a huge disappointment. No one to blame but Britt on that, he had good numbers last year. Got paid and started sucking balls. (and he wasnt good on the football field either.)

He really has been a massive disappointment. Hard to believe this is the same guy who had 1000 yards last year with QB play even worse than our team's.

I dont blame coaching or the front office. He knows how to run routes in the NFL, had a good season, this is all on Britt in my opinion.

I'd imagine that Hue being a shitty coach hasn't helped things, but I agree this is largely (if not entirely) on Britt. I mean, he played for a shitty coach last year and made things happen. I think he got paid and checked out.
