Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rosen played in 17 of 25 UCLA games the last two years. 17/25 = 68%

If you include his true freshman year he's played in 30 of 38 (78.9%) games in his career.

thestatman everybody.

68% is still fucking terrible. :chuckle:

As far as Keemun. Who says he isn't a good player. He's a fantastic bridge, and made Kenny Britt a 1,000 yard WR. He definitely makes players around him better and is a gamer and good decision maker.

In a very good offense with great receivers in a dome, he played his best ball of his career in Minny.

Excellent post overall, and that little prepositional phrase in a particular. Weaker-armed QB's having some success in a dome may not translate as well outdoors. If I was ambitious, I'd check his career performance in domes v. outside.

The year he "made" Kenny Britt a 1,000 yard receiver, he had 9 TD/11 INT and a 6.6 YPA.

He's been utter garbage everywhere he's been before falling into a great spot in Minnesota.

Lets take it easy on piling on your usual level of hyperbole:

"Good decision maker."

"Makes players around him better."

Jeff Fisher had a lot to do with it.

Keenum is not utter garbage.

I didn’t say he was utter garbage.

He’s been utter garbage everywhere else he’s been, before falling into a great spot in Minnesota.

He was fine this year.

And he'd be fine for one year in Cleveland as well while someone develops behind him.

That was the only point. He's not any sort of long term answer anywhere.

I don't like Keenum as our Bridge QB. McCarron would be a better choice (mostly cause of the fact he knows how to run the offense that will likely be in place in Cleveland). Keenum to me is a guy who has to be in the right system to be any good as an NFL QB.

I would honestly rather have a Bradford who has proven he can run offenses at the end of the day. He is injury prone, but with a good OLine and a solid RB with him, I think he can at least improve this team for the next season or two to help develop the young guy we draft and Kizer.

Look, I don’t like Case Keenum much.

But he’s almost certainly better than A.J. McCarron.

Bridge QBs have failed 100% of the time since 99.

Sign Cousins or BURN!

Theoretically, we know that Kizer is capable of starting games without suffering a career-ending injury if it comes to that.

Depending which veteran we sign (like Daniel or McCown for example), there's a chance Kizer opens the season as QB1.

Kizer as the #1 almost guarantees Hue is fired halfway through the season, IMHO. I guess I wouldn't be opposed to another 1 or 2 win season........

I'm not saying Kizer is good, but if it's starting him or Chase Daniel, I think I like the idea of an open competition between the two.

He has some upside at least until our #1 pick is ready for the job.

Ideally, we sign a better bridge quarterback. However, I've seen them say they want to add a vet. They never said they want to add a vet to start.
