Cleveland Indians Rumors Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So what ended up happening with Wandy? I assume he's still in Houston.

Would've been a nice pickup, a really solid 3 at the top of our rotation.

Seemed like the deal was about to go down and then exploded.

We were in it as a 3 team deal with NY

I wonder what kind of extension Ubaldo is looking for right now.

Probably be hard to find a source as it was thrown around on Twitter by some of the beat writers but never really cemented in an article.

If it helps add legitimacy to what he said - I read the same thing in regards to Wandy.

Heyman I believe.

Reportedly NY wanted to eat about half the deal, Houston wasn't having it...unsurprisingly.

On a side note, giving that deal to Wandy was profoundly dumb.

I see, any idea of what we would have received in the three team trade?

Ubaldo Jimenez officially scheduled for Friday at Texas in AL debut - will be followed by Carmona and Tomlin

per tribeinsider

matt stairs and danny baez were placed on waivers this afternoon

Shouldn't Matt Stairs be playing softball in a 40-plus beer league by now?... And Denys Baez??? He's still alive? :chuckles:

Nah, I can give whatever I've got info-wise as long as my employer isn't involved. This time they are, so until I drive around the parking lot with a World Series trophy tied to the back of my car like Costanza and get fired (or promoted to the Mets), can't really talk about it.

Seems to me like with his personality type, he might be happiest in a mid-market like Cleveland.
Well that was me thinking more along the lines of how expensive he would be right now if the Indians were to try to extend him. Right now, he isn't at his best so to me it would be ideal for the Indians to try and get a long term extension done with him even though he's under contract for another 2 years.
