Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Kerr subbed his starters out early in the fourth when he realized they didn't have it last night but Denver did. I wish Lue would do that.

Physically he has one major attribute over cousins, a brain that works real good.

He is also much more efficient, even with the huge FTA disparity in favor of cousins. Cousins shoots 10.4 FTA per 36 a game while Jokic is at 4.2 per 36.

I can't even watch the Warriors get blown out, I force myself to watch them against this team, that's it. I seriously cannot stomach the sight of them otherwise, I saw them getting blown out, I nodded to no one and changed the channel before they did a closeup of any of those douches.

The thing with GSW for me at least is: The whole "highest SRS and Net Rating and Margin of ALL TIME" does not impress me at all because i realised last year that they simply have figured out the Regular Season. They have found a perfect Strategy,Gameplan and Style of play to blow Teams out so bad like no other Team has ever done.

Yet if you look at their last 2 Playoffs they do look much less impressive. They dont like the slower, more physical style or that they cant really quickly overwhelm their Opponents because the Opponent can come up with proper Gameplans through a 7 Game series.

Oh and i highly question their character. Kerr is a Hotheat that risks beeing tossed at every play that does not go his Teams way...
Curry can easilly be bullied and intimitated to a point where he is basically Jamal Crawford^^ a nearly useless shot chucker with careless handle.
Klay has a god complex thinking he is easilly the best SG in the Game
Green is always one second away from beeing suspended..

And their new guy... well KD is a known choker too.. like their whole Team they get into trouble when their plan of "We are up 20 late in the Game" does not work.

They are like the worst Team in the clutch in the NBA.

Back to the whole not liking the playoff style thing....well, maybe they don't like it, but they win regardless. Which is the point. They don't have to run through the playoffs in the same dominant manner, do they? Just have to win the games.....

I also would not Agree that their Style really translates.

Steve Kerr as their HC has a Regular Season Winning % of 84,9 wich drops to 68,9 in the Playoffs. Thats basically the drop from an All Time Great Team to a "mere" Contender.
And the eye test confirms that. They are far from the Team they are in the RS in the Playoffs. The Game slows down is more physical and the Games are usually pretty close.. all things they are simply not good at.
They are frontrunners who dominate by overwhelming Teams that have no time adjusting to them in a 82 Game Schedule. That is different in the Playoffs.. The other Teams can adjust and make it really hard on them.

If not for KD's monsterous Choke GSW would not have made it to the Finals last year..
And the Same KD is supposed to be their Playoff Savior... hah..

I have seen through their RS dominance.. They have figured the RS out. It is impressive but i know they are not the Same Team in the Playoffs and especially Steph and KD are propably the 2 worst Superstar chokers in recent memory..

Now of course all this is under the "until proven otherwise" category..
They could prove me wrong by totally dominating the Playoffs.. But 2 Playoff Runs so far they didn't..
They are a few injuries on our Team and a KD choke as a Thunder from beeing 0-2 in the Playoffs..

He has the mannerisms of a fat kid in gym class playing basketball and that's because he was that fat kid in gym class. Just insane basketball IQ. I just love how his teammates have learned to cut so hard when Jokic is on the floor, Jokic will find them.

His game is also going to age so well. What if he somehow develops an NBA body and decent stamina? Do you think he has room for improvement and what are we even witnessing? a 21 year old in his 2nd season that is 2nd in ORTG, 8th in PER, 6th in FG%, 4th in TS%, 6th in eFG%, 7th in WS/48, 4th in Box Plus/Minis and 10th in OREB.
Have you ever seen a 21 year old in his 2nd season playing with such maturity ? I would trade a farm for his guy. Not that it's possible because of his contract. GSW just couldn't handle him at all for two straight games that they played.

That's the point. Like there aren't judges scoring based on style. They win in the playoffs. Literally the only thing that matters.

This right here is just sour grapes. Shall we put asterisks next to most of LeBron's playoff career because he's played in the East, which has been down for a historically long time? No. Because no one cares. Because injuries happen and choke jobs happen and crazy, lucky shots happen. That's part of the game.

Jokic is the best center in the NBA. He just came in so fast and and so brains just have yet to realize it or accept it. He doesn't look like your typical player, he looks unathletic and sluggish so that factors in aswell.

I think it's similar to Giannis. It kind of just started clicking for them but takes longer to realize that they have this ridiculous vision. People haven't accepted the fact that bigger guys know how to pass the ball...
