This is going to be a really interesting Western playoffs...
I mean, if Kawhi coming back is realistic, then yeah.Is Kawhi coming back for the playoffs though? Would be interesting to see the Spurs against the Warriors in the first round.
I mean, that seems to me like the best (realistic) case scenario for the Cavs right?
RD1: SAS vs GSW
RD2: OKC vs GSW
WCF: GSW vs HOU
Finals: CLE vs HOU

Everything I've read says he's not coming back this year.He is cleared to play ... If he sits out the first round against the Warriors -- I'd honestly think he was done with the Spurs.
Steve Kerr announced today that Steph Curry won’t be playing in the first round.
I will be so pissed if this happens and the Cavs choose this year to lose in the East.Is Kawhi coming back for the playoffs though? Would be interesting to see the Spurs against the Warriors in the first round.

Not that we'd be the favorites against Houston; but I do like our odds in that matchup. I also think SAS with Kawhi might be close to even money against a Durant-led Warriors team, especially if he gets potentially re-injured??
That would mean the Warriors are eliminated, and honestly, I dunno if Harden's game will completely translate into late playoff series play -- I kinda doubt it.

I still don't understand what is going on with that situation. The only team I really don't want to play the Warriors is the Pelicans. I don't think they have the firepower with Boogie down. Or Spurs if Kawhi is out.He is cleared to play ... If he sits out the first round against the Warriors -- I'd honestly think he was done with the Spurs.
