A large portion of this fan base was spoiled by the Lebron years. I want to kick ass too, but I mostly just wanna watch meaningful basketball. The fact everyone is done with Mobley at 23 is wild to me.
I feel like it's so easy for people to not only forget how young he is but how he's been dealing with injuries as well this season. It's not just like he can snap his fingers and overcome that without time. I think these past few games we're seeing him hit his stride. Either way I just think it's prudent to reserve judgement until the offseason at least. Problem is, if the Cavs have an early exit there won't be a lot of patience going around, I'd wager.

I agree but I’d say it’s less about being “spoiled” than having a very different expectations set than those of us who lived through the Mike Bratz - Roger Phegley backcourt. My favorite Cavaliers season in terms of sheer heart and overachievement is still 1984-85 where rookie head coach George Karl took a 2-19 start from a franchise horribly scarred by Stepien and went on a run late in the season where we tore through the west coast, finished 36-46 and battled Boston losing 3-1 by a net zero points. That revived a dying franchise.

We’re very lucky to have the NBA in Cleveland. We can’t take that for granted.

The franchise will be patient with Evan. That’s what matters.

You see his numbers go up across the board year to year, he also seems a couple plays away from a triple double many a night...it will happen 34/12/11 and 3 blocks/2 steals or similar, it's just a matter of time. And let's not forget about the defense.

I'm not done with him, I just want him to start living up to the hype and win us some games - something he hasn't done to this point. His numbers have barely budged since his rookie year. We are about to sign him to an extension that pays him to be a star - in the 45 million per year range. He'd damn well better be a lot more than just "good" and he better get there sooner rather than later because his contract is going to limit who else we can sign. 4th year, 24 yr old Evan, needs to show he is a legitimate guy you can build a team around.

No, he just has. Hard to win. games when nobody wants to play team defense or rebound.

He's made solid gains. Just keep on getting better.

Evan in his last 7 games back from injury - 18 ppg on 64% shooting and 57% from 3 (8-14), and 4.2 assists against just 1.1 turnovers. All on less than 30 mpg average. REALLY liking what I’m seeing, especially on the assists which show he is becoming a more decisive and heady player. I hope he can maintain it into the playoffs!

The ATO is really nice to see. He has always had the passing chops and on occassion would get up to that assist number, but the lower TOs are really encouraging. A lot of his turnovers (that werent bad passes from DG) would be caused by him taking too long to make a decision and getting stripped or throwing the ball into a closing window.

The guy we've seen lately is the leap we wanted to see him take. He hasn't had the minutes or usage to explode statistically, but he's operating at an elite clip.

The 3 ball looks really good. He's hitting plenty that don't even touch the rim.

My hope is that he looks dominant in a first round playoff series, particularly if he's against a team like Orlando with no real way to match up with him.

It might be the only way we win a first round series with the struggles Garland and Mitchell are having.

I felt like Evan really faded against the Knicks after an exciting second half of last season. Lot of front-of-the-rim shots.

Maybe this year he'll be able to survive and thrive in the playoffs. He's been playing really physically lately, which gives me hope.

I looked at the numbers earlier in the season, and it was incredibly disappointing to see his true shooting percentage increase every year but shot attempts remain static.

Would like to see him increase his 3pt attempts. He's been really good lately.

He has a decent chance at ending the season as a 40% shooter from three. Granted, it's a low volume, But that alone is a huge improvement from where he was last season.
