I'm with you on the Hickson point Jon, but when Casspi only played a total of 38 minutes in the last 13 games, and he was healthy in those 13 games, I don't know why people would hang their hat on that statistic.
We can afford to give Casspi a lot of minutes, so I think he'll be happy in the short run, but we should definitely be concerned whether in the long-run he will accept coming off the bench as a role player. It sounds like he got in the dog house with Westphal. He won't run his mouth as much with the Cavs. We run a tighter ship, and simply don't put up with it. He should enjoy the philosophy differences, though, as he *says* he's looking for a more team-oriented style of play.
He has a quick, but low release, so he should be pretty effective burying kick outs ala Shawn Marion. In fact, he's made 47% of his corner 3's. Given the fact he's 6'9" it would be nice if he had a traditional jump shot as it would open up a lot more shots for him, but I have no clue if he's even working on it.
Anyway, I think our primary goal was to get a #1 pick for JJ, so, the fact we get to take a look at Casspi as well is just a bonus.
