I agree that a lot of the progressive talk out of Hollywood is a shallow charade. Weinstein is likely the tip of the iceberg and this kinda shit has been an open secret for a long time. There will be no shortage of hypocritical indictments made.

That being said, look no further than Fox News to realize that a conservative takeover in the entertainment business isn't somehow an antidote to this poison.

Right. I'd like to see a wholesale airing of that "underbelly". There's obviously still fear out there amongst the abused, which means the abusers are still in influential positions. The most troubling thing for me? Sexual abuse is rampant within show-business, especially Southern California. This behavior has been around for as long as Hollywood has been built; it's deeply embedded within that culture. The heavy-hitters have been chummy for decades and there's a ton of nepotism to boot.

You have to give respect to Corey Feldman. He's been saying this for YEARS and people have mocked him. People have mocked him for his music too. I think this guy has courage. He's been willing to go public; he's been willing to try something extremely difficult like singing and has been mocked consonantly; yet still has the courage to keep doing it. I have a lot of respect for that guy.

I mean seriously, am I the only one that pays attention to the fucking news? Both parties have their fair share of rapists, molesters, hypocrites, thiefs, and morons. And they keep getting away with this shit because we use every single scandal as a way to jerk ourselves off because this just proves how great my side is. "Oh look at how self-righteous those douches are, always politicizing shit. I'm going to use this rape scandal to show them how hypocritical they are for doing that. Genius!" Democrats aren't self-righteous douches, we all are. It's even worse when we use other's shittiness to justify our own.

How can anyone ever blame Obama or Trump for dividing the country? We are doing a good enough job on our own. Breathe people, I think many of us are spending way too much time trying to find things to be angry at instead of finding ways to actually fix things.

I think the problem is that in a lot of states like mine, third-party votes don't count. So you either don't cast a vote (which is what I did in the presidential race, because fuck both of those scumbags), or you vote for one of the two people in front of you. Given that option, most will vote for whoever their party puts forward.
