Hollywood scandal

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Did you even read what you wrote? Laughable? You want this thread to be about attacking liberalism rather than discussion the actual sexual assaults? We can talk about Weinstein, and the Clintons, but not Trump? The fuck kind of sense does that make...
Read my posts in this thread, I didn't bring up politics. Donald Trump has nothing to do with the Hollywood sexual assault scandal.

Well, when people use the scandal to attack liberal hypocrisy, which is what is happening, it's natural to bring up conservative hypocrisy, of which there is equally ample evidence, as a counter-point.

I mean, at what point do we as a people reject the shit being put in front of us as choices for the Presidency?

When someone drags their (our) lazy asses to water (a viable solution). If we're looking at a 2020 election involving Kanye West, The Rock, or some other unqualified schmuck as a candidate, I'll be listening to anyone offering a reasonable alternative.

On a side note, I don't think many people realize how much Eminem's freestyle was heard. Not listened to, but heard. He used a medium that people connect with him on & made a ton of sense. I'll get laughed at by ignorant folks for saying that (or for giving any credit to any hip-hop/rap artist), but I thought it was smart.

The Rock's campaign slogan should just be, "Hey, it can't get any worse, right?"

HOLLYWOOD IN CRISIS: Oliver Stone Accused Of Sexual Assault
oliver_stone_gi.jpg

In the wake of countless bombshell sexual misconduct allegations launched against powerful producer and Democrat mega-donor Harvey Weinstein, Hollywood is beginning to look like a dying star collapsing in on itself.

The fall of Weinstein has exposed a seemingly complicit Hollywood, one in which stars openly crack jokes about the producer's apparently well-known sexual predation and big-name actors are accused of helping to bury damning stories.Other actors, too, have come out to expose the toxic Hollywood culture, namely former NFL star Terry Crews and Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek. Some stars have even been called out by name, such as Batman actor Ben Affleck, who was forced into an apology for groping actress and former Total Request Live host Hilarie Burton on live air some years ago.

And the hits just keep on coming: Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone is the latest Hollywood elite accused of sexual misconduct. Stone allegedly groped model and actress Carrie Stevens at a Hollywood party.

"When I heard about Harvey, I recalled Oliver walking past me & grabbing my boob as he walked out the front door of a party. Two of a kind!" wrote Stevens on Twitter.

Stone expressed concern for the pre-trial "vigilante" type of condemnation of Weinstein while attending the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, on Thursday.

"I'm a believer that you wait until this thing gets to trial," said the director. "I believe a man shouldn’t be condemned by a vigilante system. It’s not easy what he’s going through, either. He was a rival and I never did business with him. I’ve heard horror stories from everyone in the business. So I’m not going to comment on that. I’ll wait and see, which is the right thing to do."

In light of the new developments, Stone took to Facebook on clarify his take: "After looking at what has been reported in many publications over the last couple of days, I’m appalled and commend the courage of the women who’ve stepped forward to report sexual abuse or rape," he wrote.

Providing a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Stevens explained the incident thusly:

It was at Ted Field's home years ago, around the time Oliver did JFK. The party was in his honor. Oliver was on his way out; Ted was seeing him to the door. Oliver spied me standing nearby and just reached out and instead of doing what a normal person does and shaking my hand, he just groped my boob and honked it like a horn and grinned and kept walking.

I was humiliated but didn't want to complain. I didn't want Ted to think I was ungrateful for the invitation, and I was new on the scene and just navigating my way around Hollywood. I came from the rock'n' roll scene. Eric Carr from Kiss was my boyfriend and he had just passed away. I met Ted because he produced Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Kiss did the soundtrack, so I met him at the premiere. Ted is a nice guy and he knew I was having a hard time over Eric's passing so he invited me to his party — last thing I wanted to do was be a trouble maker.

"There are a million reasons girls don't speak up," she continued. "Thank God I was never alone with [Stone]. If he's grab[bing] me like that in front of people, imagine what he would do in private, given the chance."

She also expressed relief that she "never met Harvey."

"Unfortunately, I have met many of their kind in this business and it took its toll," she said. "Unfortunately, I came to believe my body parts were the only thing I had going for me — and so I did Playboy. But I'll tell you what: I always felt protected and respected by Hef and Playboy Enterprises. I do know Oliver hung out at some parties at the Mansion. Thankfully, I never saw him there. But I can tell you if he ever tried to grab anyone's boob there, Hef would have had security show him the door."

Damn.

Read my posts in this thread, I didn't bring up politics. Donald Trump has nothing to do with the Hollywood sexual assault scandal.

Right.. and neither does the liberal agenda, which is the point.

Latest Weinstein Accuser: Wanted A 'Threesome' With Me And His Assistant

Another actress has accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual impropriety, alleging that the film mogul offered her an acting role in exchange for “threesome” with his assistant.

Dawn Dunning accused Weinstein of propositioning her with a sexual overture – in 2003 when she was 24 years old – in exchange for an acting role in films he had slated for production.

Dunning made her accusation in an interview with NBC's Stephanie Ruhle, describing the scene at a hotel room with Weinstein and his assistant:

I get to the [hotel] room and he opens the door, and he has an open bathrobe on, and there’s this coffee table with all these papers, and we had been talking about his next films and, you know, some roles that he had for me in these films, and so he said, “I have contracts for my next three films, here, and I will sign them today, but I want you to have a threesome with me and my assistant.”

And so, I laughed. Obviously he must be joking, right? He started yelling at me, so at that point I fled from the room. I was scared at that point because he is a very domineering man; a very large, domineering man; very loud.

“It just really turned me off from the whole industry,” said Dunning, framing her experience with Weinstein as prompting her to exit a potential film career. “I just didn’t want to be a part of a business that works that way."

Dunning suspects the Weinstein Company’s board as being aware of what she described as a pattern of Weinstein’s sexual misconduct. Partial transcript below.

RUHLE: When you learn that the Weinstein Company board says they’re appalled, they’re disgusted, they had no idea; do you believe it?

DUNNING: No, I don’t believe it, and in fact, in all of my dealings with the Weinstein Company, I feel like it was looked at as something that was very accepted and normal.

Watch Dunning’s accusation below:

“You’ll never make it in this business,” said Weinstein to Dunning, according to the latter's allegations to The New York Times.

On Tuesday, NBC's Ronan Farrow described NBC executives as unwilling to run a story detailing various allegations from various women regarding Weinstein's sexual impropriety. He subsequently brought his story to The New Yorker for publication.

"When Mr. Weinstein tried to massage her and invited her into the bedroom, she immediately left, she said, and remembers feeling stunned as she drove away. “I thought you were my Uncle Harvey,” she recalled thinking, explaining that she had seen him as a mentor.

After she told Mr. Pitt about the episode, he approached Mr. Weinstein at a theater premiere and told him never to touch Ms. Paltrow again. Mr. Pitt confirmed the account to The Times through a representative.

Soon after, Mr. Weinstein called Ms. Paltrow and berated her for discussing the episode, she said. (She said she also told a few friends, family members and her agent.) “He screamed at me for a long time,” she said, once again fearing she could lose the role in “Emma.” “It was brutal.” But she stood her ground, she said, and insisted that he put the relationship back on professional footing.

Even as Ms. Paltrow became known as the “first lady of Miramax” and won an Oscar for “Shakespeare in Love” in 1999, very few people knew about Mr. Weinstein’s advances. “I was expected to keep the secret,” she said."

Sigh whatever. If all I had to do was suck a dick to get rich and famous I would. Especially if i wasn't talented enough to get there.

There, I said it.

Paltrow was talented enough to not have to. I'm sure he was successful with a lot of people. Most of these accounts we are hearing seem to be from people that rebuffed him.

Kids though. That is much worse, and they can be more easily manipulated.

A Tale of Two Coreys: Haim & Feldman Lifetime Movie Is Coming in 2018

B. Alan Orange

After finding tremendous success with their biopics on Full House, Saved by the Bell and Britney Spears, Lifetime is bring A Tale of Two Coreys to small screens everywhere in 2018. The biopic will follow the infamous and tumultuous childhoods of 80s superstars Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, two actors who shared a first name and a special bond after first appearing together in the classic 1987 vampire movie The Lost Boys.

Corey Feldman is helping to oversee the project, and has given his insight into some of the shadier things that went down on various movie sets and at parties attended to by Haim and Feldman. It will also look at their drug addictions, and personal struggles with abuse both physical and sexual. A number of different actors have been cast as the two former teen heartthrobs. Elijah Marcano is playing the teenage Corey Feldman, with Scott Bosely playing him as an adult. Justin Ellings will play the younger Corey Haim, with Casey Leach portraying the troubled youth in his adult years.

The pair became best friends at a young age, and weathered various highs and lows in the world of Hollywood moviemaking. The pair starred in a number of movies together that include the previously mentioned Lost Boys, as well as License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream. Though they decided to work alone heading into the 90s, they would reunite for a number of low budget, straight to video movies that proved to be, for the most part, somewhat embarrassing. The pair would reunite once again in 2004 for the short-lived reality series The Two Coreys, which lasted two seasons due to Haim's erratic behavior at the time. A third season was supposed to happen. But Haim ultimately passed away.

In a recent chat with Yahoo about his time spent on the set of The Lost Boys, Corey Feldman was asked about working with Corey Haim. He declined to comment, reiterating that he made a deal with Haim's mom not to talk about the late actor in public. That's when he offered some insight into the upcoming Lifetime movie, which will debut sometime in 2018.

"This is why my hands are tied. We actually have a Lifetime movie coming out that is about the two Coreys. Which I helped produce. To help lend some stuff to the story as well. I wouldn't say I'm the writer or director. It was done with some friends of mine. And I helped with some stuff so that it didn't stray too far from the truth. That is coming out, and I have given my commitment and my word to Corey's mother that I steer away from conversations that are about him."
Corey has had quite a hand in the production of the movie. Which hasn't been the case for most of the recent Lifetime biopics focused on 80s pop culture. A synopsis for the movie claims that the story will take place 6 years after the death of Corey Haim, as Feldman reminisces about their friendship, their jet-propelled rise to sudden fame and the tragic fall that followed: a drug-fueled descent into addiction, rehab and adulthood. Feldman goes onto say this about the movie.

"It's a biopic. It's not straightforward, I didn't personally write it. But I had a hand in it. I wasn't personally available, I wasn't on the set. It was right when I was launching my tour when it was starting production. I can tell you that the kids chosen to play us are great kids. They are really great actors. And they really hit it on the mark. I think fans all over are going to be enamored to see these two kids. That said, I haven't seen the whole thing finished. I don't know how it turned out. It isn't coming out until next year. I do know it's in the editing room."
Feldman goes onto confirm that Carrie Fisher will be featured in the movie, with Jennifer Peo playing the late actress. Fisher and Feldman worked together on The Burbs. Feldman says this about the role Carrie Fisher played in his life and how she centers in the movie.

"Her and Joe [Dante] sat me down and had a very serious talk with me. Because at the time I was headed over the edge. I was right there. They could see it. She is a very smart lady, and she was sober at the time. She looked me in the eyes, and said, 'Let's be serious. I can see what you're doing. Just be honest with yourself.' And I was like, 'I am fine!' Granted, I was smoking weed in my trailer at the time, and they smelled the weed, and that came with all kinds of other assumptions that stuff was going on. I was hanging out with Sam Kinison, and he had a bad reputation for being a Coke head. So, I was doing Coke with him. But I had gotten over that bump. And I didn't want to do that anymore. I was kind of getting back to my sobers roots. And then that's when I went off the deep end. Because of a girl. I got my heart broken. She cheated on me. I went to my influences and asked how do I fix this, and that brought me to the next level of drugs. Which brought me around. And before I got sober. Point being, this was right before I took that plunge into depravity. And I think Carrie saw something in my eyes. She knew that this was not going to end well if I kept going down this route. And she was right. A year later I was hooked on heroine. I got busted, and it was all over the news. She certainly saw it coming. That was a huge thrill for me to be associated with her. I loved Star Wars. All I ever wanted was to be in a Star Wars movie."
Also in the movie are Michael Jackson, played by Brandon Howard, Burbs director Joe Dante, played by Claude Knowlton, Tom Hanks, played by Brian Nolan, Lost Boys director Joel Schumacher played by Jay Disney, and various members of The Goonies cast, with Drew Shapiro announced as Kerri Green. No release date is set yet, but the movie should arrive in the first quarter of 2018.

This started as a joke, I'll defend the position though
