Hooroo, Andrew Bogut. (A blimey broken tibia)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And you know that....how, exactly?

Guy has spent the last 2 years rapping, producing music for other people, working on art, getting arrested, and smoking weed...and he's just going to come out guns blazing this season after that?

Much better chance for him to make an impact by getting his shit back together in the last 20+ games, then getting ready for next season...why, if we sign him, it better be a 2 year deal.

Lue said he hasn't lost his skills. We can sign him on two 10 day contracts. He's worth the risk.

I have yet to see someone give a good reason why he would go to Houston besides "they can give him money".

Bogut said no to Houston in the summer. Said D'Antoni's system isn't exactly a good fit for him. They have 4 quality bigs, including 2 Cs who can get up and down the floor very well, which works in their system.

I follow the Rockets closely, having lived in Houston before for 8 years...they are planning on tossing a good bit of their money to a perimeter player to help replace Brewer's minutes. Not seeing the Houston threat others are seeing.

I can see them trying real hard to get Matt Barnes...

I agree. I think the Spurs would be more up Bogut's alley than Houston by far.

I still think we are the favorites tho. We'll see.

I am for getting both of them, but I can't really make a realistic argument that Sanders right now helps us more than Bogut.

Bogut is still top-3 defensive center in the NBA. I just don't see any rational argument against adding him to this team.

Given our defense has been a major issue, the Cavs couldn't have gotten a bigger break in helping to clean up that part of the floor.

Sanders can guard any position. Bogut cannot. No matter what lineup the Cavs opponents have on the court Sanders can adjust to it. You can't say the same about Bogut. Having Lebron and Sanders on the court will create problems for opponents on the defensive and offensive end of the court.

He's not worth the risk of passing up on a guy who is still one of the best paint and rim defenders in the league, on top of being an elite rebounder, and an elite passer from his position.

What are you smoking...

Larry, is that you?

Why'd you go to jail in the summer, Larry?

I don't think anyone is really saying don't sign Sanders to a 10-day contract. Just that saying no to Bogut would be crazy.

Not only does he help us, why let a good defensive starting center go elsewhere?
That's the only reason I really think Houston was interested in him. To block him going to GS or SA, not because they need him. They don't need him. They don't want him going to one of those teams though.

That said, we need Bogut though.

Eh, Bogut is one of those guys who doesn't give you the same performance every night. JR Smith is another one, some nights he's looking like an All Star, some nights you know after two minutes that it isn't his A game.

With Bogut, his good night means 4-5 blocks with 12-16 rebounds, going hard on the offensive glass, and those picks that drove us all nuts. On his bad nights? He's a step slow, commits fouls, but still sets the picks.

As a backup, you take it. As a starter making big money, I get why a few franchises had second thoughts as he got older.

Even SA doesn't have much playing time for him.

Gasol and Desmond (I know, who, but hey they found another gem!) is playing really well.

I can't imagine any Cavs fan who doesn't want to see Kyle Korver coming off an Andrew Bogut screen, for about a 4-6 minute stretch in the 2nd and 4th.

Or him running a PnR with LeBron or Kyrie, and then making the kickout pass Tristan misses so often to the corners to a wide open shooter when that shooters man crashes down into the paint to stop him.

With the full court press the Warriors are doing to save their damsel in distress (i.e. McGee) honor from the ravages of Shaqtin-A-Fool, pretty much seals the deal they aren't going to try to bring Bogut back

This Deron Williams potential signing is a bitter pill for me. My little cousin is a bottle girl at a prominent Vegas nightclub. She brought up a bottle to Deron's room and he answered door in underwear and kept trying to talk her into the room. She gets hit on for a living, but said he was a particularly aggressive dick. Plus I'd just seen him like a year earlier on tv talking a bunch of nonsense about his newfound religious conversion.

That said, he didn't rape her or anything, and we do need a backup pg, so I'll get over it.
Is she a brunette?

For those still clamoring for Larry Sanders, I just want to make sure y'all know he was charged with a felony in 2016 while in Los Angeles.

Surprisingly Larry, nor his agent, divulged the arrest and the Cavs only found the arrest after running a sophisticated background check.

I think we can write Larry off at this point.....

It isn't that I don't want what Bogut could theoretically bring. The issue is if he is healthy enough to get on the floor to bring it. He has only played 26 games and he missed all the other games due to a strained hamstring apparently? I don't think that it is normal to miss 30 games with that injury.

So what I am hoping is that he actually isn't that injured at all and it was just used as an excuse by the team to not play him. But that is what I really want to know. If that is actually that serious or not. If we get him, I'm sure Cavs team doctors will check him out and we will find out how healthy he really is. Or at least the Cavs org. should know the truth.

If we do get him, and it happens he isn't full strength, I wouldn't push it. I'd wait until he is back full strength. We could use a body that could play right away, but we would survive. We would need him healthy for playoffs over anything. Same goes with Deron.

But I'm hoping Bogut was mostly faking so he didn't have to play losing basketball with Mavs. Or Mavs wanted to give minutes to younger players. It would be great to see him near his best (on the Cavs at least).

lol. In jail for abusing the rim and blocking shots. But seriously, if Bogut gets picked up by the Spurs we will all see what Sanders has to offer.

At this point I would not even mind giving Terrence Jones a chance. Bogut's injuries worry me.
