Hopefully something around that. Kyrie and lebron need a few minutes shaved off. So he could take 10-15 minutes from them combined as long as he's able to maintain or build a lead while on the floor without them. Frye needs about 5 minutes cut so maybe lebron goes to the 4 or we get more derrick Williams at the 4 opening up more time for deron.

So Deron becomes a Cav at 5:01. I honestly hope they do throw him out there tonight. Build chemistry as quickly as possible.

This is such a huge pickup if he stays healthy. His injury history is the one thing I am worried about.

I had no idea he was still one of the top 3 players in the league running P&R. Our second unit could be so deadly and throw different looks out there. I really wish Kev was healthy because I think him and Deron should run the first bench group when Lebron and Kyrie sit. Think about how deadly our first bench group could be:

Yeah there's no reason not to throw him out there as long as he's healthy. It's just a regular season game. Nothing to lose. He's a professional PG it doesn't take much to run a pnr.

I know everyone on here wants to see him tonight. So do I.

But I'd be surprised if he plays. Game days, guys have routines for waking up, "activating", resting, stretching, they get to the arena, they have shoot around.

He would have none of those things if he signs by like 5:01. He has to pass a physical. He would be traveling and rushing. No reason to put him at risk of an injury just to get one extra game out of him.

I doubt he's claimed, but I'd have to think with that still being a chance, he may not even be in Cleveland.

Just for comparison, once Derrick Williams cleared waivers, he flew out to meet the team but didn't sign until the following morning.

I'd imagine we are looking at a similar timeline.

He may not play but it wouldn't surprise me if he is on the end of the bench after signing.

The Cavs play at home Monday and I would guess they want a practice day tomorrow with Williams. With it being a night game, I would think he'll be in town tonight.
