Hooroo, Andrew Bogut. (A blimey broken tibia)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The only way I'd sign Sanders if he agrees to a two-year deal on the minimum. Because the only appeal at all with Sanders is he has talent/upside to maybe fill that void at center going forward for us. You get a guy of his talent dirt cheap.

But this year, it's unrealistic to expect anything out of him. So, I don't blame teams that aren't interested in Sanders.

These teams are looking for guys to help now, and a guy that's not played in years coming in at the middle of the year. Well, that's not realistic at all.

But our interest in Sanders shouldn't be about that anyways. It's about maybe getting a cheap option with a lot of upside at that position going into next season.

Whatever medication he’s been on to manage his anxiety/depression could also be a factor with that.

That usually adds weight.. not the other way around. Anixety pills like Xanax and such perhaps, but SSRIs, etc always make you gain weight.

And the under rating Bogut continues just because he isn't a hyper athlete

Bogut is one of the best passing 5's in the game. One of the best screeners in the game. One of the best rim protectors in the game.

But Larry sanders can jump higher. So he's got the higher ceiling

Some interesting Bogut stats, just to add on...and you can make the argument that the dude hasn't exactly been playing motivated this season.

Players shoot 3.1% worse against him than average, which includes a ridiculous 9.5% worse than average mark within 6 feet of the basket...guy is still an elite paint protector, even while banged up and unmotivated.

Still one of the better PnR roll men in the league. 1.07 PPP puts him in the 62nd percentile among all NBA players.

Is still an elite post-up defender. 0.67 PPP given up on post-ups puts him in 89th percentile among all NBA players. For comparison, our current team rolls out Tristan (0.89 PPP, 51st percentile), Kevin (0.81 PPP, 68th percentile), and Channing (0.85 PPP, 62nd percentile).

Is still an elite rebounder. Among players who have played at least 20 games, he is 13th in TRB%, 2% better than our best rebounder in Kevin Love, and 3% better than Tristan.

Playing reserve minutes, and matchup minutes in the post season if we face a team with a heavy post-up threat...I find it hard to believe that we can find a better player right now than him.

It's great that teams don't have any interest in Sanders actually. Just sign Bogut for this season and evaluate Sanders in the off-season and send him a camp invitation.

He is just longer.. TT can't really contest well enough because of reach limitations against C's. I bet if you tell TT to guard PF's(like he is supposed to) in the post, he is going to be one of the best in the league no doubt.

Tristan is much better where you'd expect him to be (guarding PnRs, overall shooting % against, guarding ISOs, guarding shooters, etc.).

Just, Tristan doesn't have Frye's length on 1-on-1 post ups, which is probably the only area Frye has been good defensively this season.
