Hue Jackson and Todd Haley Fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Lmao this dude throwing everyone under the bus.

No. This is more of a CYA by the coach. Watson yesterday said that Hue texted him; Hue denied it when asked. Today, I think Hue avoided a lingering, pointless story by admitting that he did, in fact, contact the QB in some way prior to the draft.

I think he leaked it out originally to distance himself from the FO and make it seem like he’s not the problem and he wanted the right guy.

But.... He didn't leak it. Watson said it first, which left Hue out there having to address it. The way he denied it yesterday, compared to how Watson detailed it so vividly, was embarrassing. Created an unnecessary story off of an unnecessary lie; it was all over the Cleveland airwaves today.

Hue didn't leak anything. Watson said it during an interview with the CBS crew. Even still this is really pointless. I know for a fact that The Browns contacted Marshon Lattimore and also told him that they would take him if he's available. Teams tell players this stuff all the time. It really doesn't mean shit until the card is turned in. Every team knows what they are going to do until they don't.

Maybe he leaked it to Watson

Fuck me. I almost wish I didn't know this. He's locking down, deflecting passes, forced a fumble and just got his first INT, which he of course took to the house.

PFF has him in the Elite tier now. Would have been a great guy to trade up from 12 to get :(

Lmao. OSU homer. First it's Hooker and now it's Latimore. Bet you wouldn't want either player if they went to Michigan!

The problem with this is Hue refusing to take responsibility.

The easy way to answer this would have been to go "Look. I liked him. A lot of the people on our staff liked him. We considered going in that direction, but ultimately we decided the trade was too good to pass up. We figured we'd find our QB in Kizer."

That's it. That's all that needs to be said. I struggle to see how that would be a bad answer to any one asking that question.

It just goes to show how so much shit gets said to these guys leading up to the cards being turned in. I though Shon was gonna go higher then he did which led me to believe we were gonna trade up but once he fell outside of the top 5 I didn't think we would take him.

I too thought he was gonna go higher. Much higher. I think teams were scared of his hamstring.

This franchise.....just blow it up......

Apparently DeShone Kizer Just Needed One Week Off

Jackson indicated that one game on the sidelines was enough to clear the fog for Kizer, who’s buried at the bottom of the NFL with a 49.5 rating.

“Between almost every series, I had conversations with DeShone,’’ said Jackson. “I wanted to make sure he was learning and growing in what he saw. We went back and forth on things. He was really into it. I thought he saw some things that he can grow from. I heard growth out of him. I think that’s what matters.”
